Looks like the rich people make alternate routes around their properties. Stay well and be safe.

Hi Cliff, a nice trail apart from the road work but even then it wasn't overly bad, I did notice however that even though you were on the edge of the suburbs there was no trash in the woods, at least none that I saw. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx ❤

If you want to see deer that you can actually video there is a trail in Wyomissing behind the Wawa at Museum Rd and Lancaster Ave. It edges against The Highlands. It is a paved trail, not like the ones you normally hike. There are usually pretty many people too. But the deer are so used to seeing people that you can get pretty close to them before they run away.

On Ohio, we follow the blue blazes: they mark the Buckeye Trail, which makes a loop around the whole state. Quite a bit of it is on the road, sadly. They are working on trying to route it off road, which will be wonderful. Enjoyed the challenging trail with you today! Sometimes it's not the terrain that's challenging-route finding can be tough too!

Those fig bars are a favorite of mine! I drooled! Also "blue blazes" in the South means Hell. So it was funny that you hated walking that part. 🤣

Thanks for the hike Cliff, It's just as well they reroute you/me/us. I feel uncomfortable when you have to pass by "close" to obvious private property and I see a garage door, etc.

Hiking in someones backyard doesn't quit do it for me. I need a challenge using map and compass, w/ no house in sight for miles.

Woodsman, love the adventures on the trail. You might be well served if you had a dog companion to share the traveling path🐕.

Kind of sad that the trail has so much suburban build up so close! Does that take anything away from the hike for you?
