Real nice and your correct about the head size. My heads use to be narrow until I actually saw a sculpin. Thanks, Jim

I like it, thanks for time & demo these work great on the all the Rivers out West. Someday I'll have to travel out your way and do some fishing when all this Pandemic is gone. Michigan is a beautiful state take care.

Good looking fly, Matt. I like the more open head as opposed to tightly packed.

Very nice style of a Sculpin. Did you typically fish this with a sink tip to get it down in the water column, since it is not weighted ?? Thanks, David (Fisher-of-Men Fly Tying, Ada, MI)

Thanks for watching! Yes, I’d definitely recommend a sink tip line or at the very least a poly leader to fish this fly effectively. Light flies like this are wonderful to cast all day but the right line and correct water conditions are important as well. When clarity is decent and water temps are “comfortable” and stable there isn’t much more fun than seeing a brown chase a fly like this down. Hope you get our streamer fishing soon!

Wasted 1 to 2 inches of rabbit strip at the front trim off when you could have tied the tail the right length and brought the whole strip forward and wasted none.
