Deer hunting is in my blood! I love the pursuit, the fresh meat and the memories made in the great outdoors!
I was using a Silver Stag "Deer Strapper" to butcher my buck. Check it out: silverstag.com/Deer_Meat_For_...

I would be so happy if I managed to kill a deer but if I shot it and just wounded it (like a leg shot) and if it got away, I would feel rotten inside. Robert, have you ever tried marinating your venison steak(cut or cubed) in a mixture of zesty Italian salad dressing and a packet of onion soup mix? Pour the salad dressing in a zip lock and add the onion soup in, shake well, add your venison and let it sit in the fridge for several hours.(even overnight). You can flour and fry or cook on the grill. Many times we make a gravy and put the meat back in that gravy and let it simmer. Great taste!!! Rusty Davis

They call it "sport" and they say: "We control the population of animals." Both are non-sense. No one gives people to control to nature stability. I believe in God and justice, I hope every trophy hunters will get their punishment in hell!

I may not be religious, but I have a lot of respect for this man and his family. More often than not people buy their meat from industrial factories who treat their animals poorly and they live a life in true hell. I limit my meat intake because of this, but if I lived in an area where we had the accessibility to meat that this family does, I'd for sure learn how to butcher and catch my own food. I think forever I will dislike and have no respect for trophy hunters, but when you're hunting for food, and not catching excess, I completely understand.

I think to eat meat respectfully, you should have that blood on your hands after ethically and respectfully harvesting a free ranging animal. Without that experience, a deer harvested in the woods is no different than a steak wrapped in plastic purchased at the supermarket. Vegan, hunter or somewhere in between, we need to all recognize where our food comes from and have a great respect for the process of what goes on our dinner plates.

Hey just wanted to pop in and say this. Thank you for all the great tips and how-to's in the videos. It's top notch learning channel for "green" hunters like me. With some of your tips and tricks i managed to skin my first wild boar today :) Although he was just a yearling i've managed to skin him with no hiccups :) So again thank you for sharing your knowledge with us and all the best from Europe :D

+Eclipse Royale To answer your question, it's a muzzleloader rifle that's basically a modern day musket which uses black powder instead of rifle cartridges that use smokeless powder and they make a hell of a lot of smoke when they fire. He's probably hunting during muzzleloading season when you can't use any other type of rifle.

Give it go! Get a your huntin license, put in for a tag or get an over the counter non permit tag, the animal available for the latter option varies by state, take a buddy and go for a week or two. It’s a lot of work. Often times these videos rarely give you the full picture and four days is the average required days to be successful

@Modern Savage25 1) None of the animals this guy hunts are endangered 2) The animals he does hunt live much more free and healthy lives than any farm animal 3) Humanity has eaten animals since the beginning of time and it isn't going to change regardless of how much you anti-hunters and vegans complain about it 4) No one does more for the conservation of wild game animals than hunters themselves through license sales and donations to organizations that do so. Many of these animals on the verge of extinction such as elk and turkeys, have been brought back and now thrive because of it

Ingredients 2 lb dear meat (chevon), cubed 1 tablespoon garlic, minced 1 piece medium-sized onion, minced 3 pieces medium sized tomatoes, diced ½ teaspoon crushed chili or fresh Thai chili (optional) 1 cup tomato sauce ¾ cup bell pepper, sliced 6 tablespoon liver spread ¾ cup Spanish green olives (optional) ½ cup vinegar 1 piece large carrot, cubed 1 piece medium-sized potato, cubed 3 tablespoons cooking oil 2 cups water Salt and pepper to taste Instructions Combine the vinegar, salt, and ground black pepper in a large bowl then marinate the dear meat for at least an hour (This should neutralize the strong gamey smell ) then separate the meat from the marinade. Pour the cooking oil in a cooking pot or casserole and apply heat. Sauté the garlic, onion, and tomatoes Add the marinated dear meat then cook until the color of the outer part turns light brown Put-in the tomato sauce and crushed chili then allow to cook for 2 minutes Add the water and allow to boil. Simmer for at least 45 minutes or until the meat is tender. Add the liver spread and cook for 5 minutes (You may add water if the sauce seems to dry up) Put-in the potatoes and carrots then simmer for 8 minutes. Add the olives and bell pepper then simmer for another 5 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot. Share and enjoy!
