I guess the next step would be to get a go pro, or something similar Any advice that you would be willing to impart on me, as far as equipment/cameras go, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Watching you hunt and get a deer with an obsolete or obscure caliber is my favorite part of watching you guys. Great job and good filming. I'm jealous I only live about 160 miles southwest of you guys but we haven't had snow in deer season for years. Some days it was in the high 60s
@johnkendall6962

@Cram Butcher Try finding a new gun chambered in it. There's lots of calibers that are obsolete or obscure that you can still buy ammo for. My father hunted for years with a sporterized Lee Enfield .303. You can still buy ammo. Every gunshot in Canada is going to stock it. My father in law used a Savage model 1899 chambered in .22 savage high power. There's at least 2 European companies still making ammo.

Inhereited my great grandfathers Kar 98A he brought home from WW2. Unfortunately he put a sporter stock on it took the originial sites off and put a peep site one but it really turns it in to a dream 98A if you're looking to harvest meat. To make a long story short he was an officer in the US army took a POW luger/kar98 home and traded the luger to an American gun smith to sporterize the kar 98..... It's a family heirloom though

Snow is a great advantage when deer hunting, easy to see deer and follow a blood trail and tracks. If the shots are close, with iron sights, never hesitate to make a neck shot. No tracking, deer drops in it’s tracks and no wasted meat. This has been a good hunting season in Pennsylvania and New York. Many hunters this season.
