When teaching the dog for wounded deer tracking/trail, is it blood or another scent they are actually following? I have heard blood being used, but I have also been told it is a scent given off in the hooves when the deer is injured.

Awesome info. Looking into getting a Labrador to grow up with my daughter, and spend time with me afield. Do you look for any specific traits as a puppy when selecting your dog's?

Good video, my question is how long will the Real Hid product last?

The real hide will last if it is stored well... After you re-hidrate it when you receive the hide and are done using it put it in a plastic bag and freeze it... then unthaw when you are ready to use it again!
