OK... well this is pretty much my fault. On complete accident, I showed Sarah's phone number in the video. I never realized there would be thousands of calls in just an hour. SO, we had to literally change her number. That was the only phone number she had ever had and it really upset her to lose that number... but that's just the way it goes... There is nothing like those blue crabs and ribs. I grew up with all that on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Now if I want them, I pay dearly through the nose in Tennessee, so all I can do is watch you and drool. Now I'm gonna check out your crawfish video. Recently subscribed and can honestly say I'm hooked on your videos! We're from North Western Ontario, Canada. That equates to short warm summers followed by extremely long cold miserable winters. Absolutely love the outdoors, and if you don't mind mosquitos, wood ticks and black flies in the summer, or frostbite and blinding snow storms in the winter, then life here is pretty awesome! My parents wintered at my sisters place in Jupiter for many years. Had an opportunity to visit there a few times during winter months (To thaw out) and fish for king macs with my dad. Being dead serious. I prefer the Heat. The old bay was good, no doubt, but I felt I got most of the flavor from the seasoning on my fingers. I feel the Everglades Heat actually permeates the crabs Meat and is wonderful!

You should definitely give it a try because its as good as advertised. We just got a Publix up here in NC near my home and I wanted to give it a try so I got the original and my wife and I love it. I then picked up the Heat and my wife was giving me a hard time saying we didn't need anymore spices, but now she just wants to use Everglades Heat on everything. It is definitely good stuff.

I really want to try that Heat now. But here in MD, we steam our crabs instead of boiling, and layer the Old bay on the crabs. That way the seasoning cakes up and 'caramelizes' on the crab. Not better, but just a different method.

One trick I've learned is to keep the females and to drop them in the areas where the traps came up empty. I'm not sure how far crabs will move in a lifetime, but the concept seems logical, at least.

Yes people mess with traps buts not to much of an issue with blue crab traps. You can buy a lot of blue crabs for $30 bucks. Its a bigger problem with stone crab traps. Most use zincs that disolve in 5 to 10 days and release the float to the surface. Big difference between a crab you can buy for $4/lb compared to one that goes for $15 to $40/lb.
