The opening statements aren't meant to fill in exactly what witnesses will say. They are supposed to paint a story of what may have happened and then they spend the rest of the trial trying to make jurors/judge believe their story. That does not mean that every individual witness has to be able to corroborate each detail of the story. The Casey Anthony trial is a good example of this. Prosecutors outright stated that Casey murdered her daughter, but they didn't have any witnesses who saw this nor any direct evidence of it. The defendants stated that Casey's father covered up his granddaughter accidentally drowning. But, again, they didn't have any witness who could directly confirm this and the grandpa directly denied this. They basically take what facts they have and create a narrative and then fill in the holes with speculation that they believe they can convince the jurors of. So saying that Kelsey tested positive for gun residue because she was standing near Tory does not mean that they are saying that Megan herself must have seen Kelsey standing near Tory. It just means that they have some evidence (maybe other witnesses or forensic evidence) that they believe strongly supports that conclusion. The other thing that empressive brought up (whether both of them were walking towards Megan after or not) is a direct contradiction, though. Just saying that the gun residue thing isn't.

There are definitely things that don't make sense in this. For one thing, I can understand there being conflicting stories HOWEVER, between Meghan and Kelsey, they've been conflicting each other and THEN they're own stories. Like I said in the other post I can understand not remembering everything exactly as it happened because they were all drunk but after they sobered up, they should've gone to police and cleared up their statement. Megan has changed hee story to some degree but I think its because of how she remembered it. I do believe she lied, especially about having sex with Tory that was obvious. But when you're drunk or high, you're not going to remember things the same as when you've had time to sober up. That has been proven over and over again. She should've just said, "I was drunk and I don't completely remember what happened." That would've been the right thing to say. But for her to say she saw Kelsey and turn around and say she didn't see Kelsey that doesn't make sense. Who is she trying to protect? I can understand everyone being shocked because you sometimes do shit out of anger whether you said something hurtful or did something hurtful, particularly when intoxicated and once you realize what you did, it kind of jars you back to reality. So I can understand that REGARDLESS of who shot Meg, they'd have that reaction. We do things in the heat of the moment especially intoxicated that we'd NEVER do while sober. But Meg should've gotten her story straight because now she messed up the prosecution's case. What people don't get is that this is a CRIMINAL case. In criminal cases its the STATE against the person who committed a crime. NOT the wronged individual. If Meg was to sue Tory then it would be her against Tory. I think she SHOULD sue him. Lastly and I said this in the other video, it's completely valid as to why she didn't snitch. Not every Black person lives by the no snitch code but many do. We ALL know the police can't be trusted. They will shoot first, ask questions later and even if they're in the wrong they'll get away with it. It's ongoing. This is why we don't trust them. On top of that if you live in the hood or you're involved with certain people if you snitch you'll be killed. That's another reason our people don't talk to police. They can't protect you from the people in your neighborhood who know where you live, know your family, etc. What she said was valid and she's not wrong to feel that way. Depending on who's on the jury, some jurors will understand that. Some won't. But again because she's lied so many times Tory could walk, at least on those charges. I think there was a fight over that gun and I'm not sure if Tory said dance bitch. It just doesn't sound plausible in this situation. But we'll see.

When asked the first time during an interview if she had sexual relations with Tory she lied and said no. And on top of that her story sounds very over the top. Tory pointing a gun out of the window yelling “dance bitch” and firing at her? Tory’s side of the story sounds a lot more realistic. Her and Kelsey were fighting over the gun, and Tory tried to grab the gun from them to prevent the shooting but the gun ended up going off anyway. And on top of that Megan’s original story about the shooting doesn’t even match with the prosecutor’s because they’re saying that Kelsey was standing next to Tory when he did it. But wasn’t the story that he fired the gun from the car while she walking away? So which one is it??? Idk this whole thing sounds confusing. Hopefully the actual TRUTH comes out.

we’ve literally seen megan’s gunshot wound, we know that she’s been shot. trauma can really affect memory, and maybe she doesn’t remember seeing kelsey for that reason. regardless, anybody on tory’s side is an actual fool

Ok so I personally believe Tory's side on the situation only after they left though because it makes the most sense. As for their reason for leaving tori's side makes more sense but I don't care enough to think anymore about this. Meg's story relies to much on the whole situation being a drunken mess where as Tori literally has a witness testifying to certain things. Also Kelsey being scared on the phone with Tori indicates some level of guilt.

This should be an easy case : 1. Where are the bullet fragments ? 2. The bullet should have blood if she was shot. 3. The blood should match megs because who else blood could it be. 4. The bullet should match the gun either registered to Tory or in his possession. 5. If not, where’s the X-rays of megs foot , if there is still fragments in there. Tory's defense team is not arguing this point. Whatever doubt he may have cast in his songs is done with, everyone knows she got shot. There are graphic pictures and discharge papers she posted and deleted which were presented in court if you really want to see them. The move now is creating enough cloudiness and uncertainty around the situation that tory cannot be found "guilty beyond reasonable doubt".

That’s the only cloudiness that helps Tory. If she kept her stories straight or even told the truth , this would’ve been over.
