I don’t think it was a mistake, the wife loved the attention she got from her friends and she clearly craves that over her marriage. Her letting herself be “dragged out of her abusive relationship” is very telling. If she actually loved her husband as a person, not as a dad or provider, her first reaction would’ve been to vehemently deny the physical abuse and intervene when the friend’s husband became aggressive. Even if she didn’t want to be exposed for lying about how much her husband helps out, the bare minimum is to stop the situation from escalating. I definitely think OP is hiding a majority of what she said to her friends and sincerely wants to leave her husband despite him doing nothing wrong. She only wants him back because her family is on his side.

Secondly, this story is from wife’s perspective; my comment is based off of her post that I went on to read after the video. I’m actually extending a lot of grace to her 2 friends (both women), that she personally blames for “causing drama,” because there’s 0 chance that a single bruised knee or a “funny” story would cause them to directly accuse the husband of domestic violence. It is extremely common amongst women to have visible bruising on their legs caused by daily activity, especially if they’re chasing after small kids. The wife had to have embellished her situation more than she discussed for them to have that type of reaction.

You can never live them down, and it’s how people will always remember you. Bro a domestic abuse allegation can fuck up your whole life. Cheating sucks and damages your trust in the person but you can either choose to leave them or stay with them and that's it. A domestic abuse allegation however, even if proven to be false will still have people side eyeing you and treating you like shit. Your rep might be good NOW, but once you have a domestic abuse accusation, that shit goes out the window. Not sure how you don't see that when there's hundreds of high profile examples of this even when said allegation was proven false it still permeates. Getting cheated on sucks but with time people heal from it and you still have your reputation and character untouched. Getting accused of this not only affects you but also the people around you. Your rep and the person you are starts to get questioned. The dynamic may never be the same if you get accused of something this serious. Nope, She's not thinking about him or her kid. Accusations can cost people everything in today's day and age. simply being accused of something can cost you everything. Don't be naive. He could literally lose his job over this and the potential to get other jobs in the future, because of how references work. which means that she is not only ousting him but also her kid and whoever he helps to support. It's not like in the past when somebody gets accused and their life remains unchanged. Bro understands that clean reputations mean life stability in the modern day, something that she needs to learn. Companies do not play that anymore and the higher up you are the quicker they get rid of your ass. He could also get reported and have to have his record tarnished, going through the judicial system is not easy and will ruin your life even if you're found innocent. People don't care about that.
