I've noticed that jokes about a minority are only funny if it takes an ignorant premise and has layers. It's because the butt of the joke isn't the minorities themselves, but the ignorant people who believe that premise about them or sometimes the premise itself. When you make a racist joke with no layers, it's just an appeal to racists.

Its like somebody wanting to chime in on talking about my sister because they hear me complain about her (which I dont) I'm get offended like " you don't know what you are talking about, I can say something because that's my sister and I deal with her, you just going off of what I'm saying, like you know her" same situation except they are the sibling that will allow his friends to talk shit about them because they "want to be accepted" or "don't want to be sensitive". To call someone not funny just because YOU don’t laugh is hilarious. I haven’t laughed at Dave Chappelle since the Chappelle show as a child. But I can’t say he isn’t funny because his jokes literally sell out arenas and are full of people laughing. Us minorities have a lot more serious issues to find solutions for to be this worried about jokes.

Tbh none of us in our community can cry about racist jokes when our comedians been having racist jokes for a minute. I mean just look up Paul Mooney. My opinion is, if you can’t take comedy as a whole, no matter the context, don’t watch or listen to it. I mean just look at the dude who made this video. It’s obvious he’d be easily offended. Dave Chappelle and Katt Williams do dark humor comedy all the time using stereotypes. If you don’t like somebody’s comedy style, just don’t watch and don’t go looking for it.

You missed the point. It's not dark humor or racial jokes are bad, it's that people like Andrew Schulz aren't clever with their jokes and it falls flat past "race." There's no deeper joke, just "haha I said something about a race" Bill Burr is a better example of someone who does dark and racial jokes well without relying on stereotypes, edgy humor, or the race itself as a punchline. He may have elements of edge humor and stereotypes, but his punchlines don't rely on that. Idk how Louis CK is doing now but he was good with that too.

I feel many ppl these days are very sensitive HOWEVER i feel ppl also try to use that as a means to say foul and racist shit and cover it up as "youre too sensitive" dont be afriad to banter for sure and eventually the truth comes out either as an actual joke or masking your racism as jokes. Good point on another comment Bill Burr keeping those jokes fresh and in depth. For men wanting to glow up with black women i feel many men will do this for ANY attractive women or quality woman that makes him feel better. The fact she is black to me anyway is a happy coincidence. I love quality women no matter the race if they're quality then they're quality period. I treat each person based on thier character despite even my own expected reaction from a race i cant say i dont have racist expectations as i was conditioned the same as everyone else but i have experience in life and my interactions in life taught me to be conscious in my approaches to every individual until they earn treatment one way or another. If youre positive then you get positive the same as if youre negative you get negative regardless of race. Im fair but not a pushover. Doing this has served me well over the years as i feel ppl can tell if youre just being nice or being genuine in your approach to them. Just my little 2 cents on the matter.

When we say "The joke is not funny" or "i wont be offended if it was funny" Who's the determinate that a joke is funny because what you dont deem funny is funny to someone else and vice versa so saying a joke is not offensive so far its funny for me isn't a food qualifier. If the joke is stereotypical and is made by a comedian in a comedy space then just let it fly because it might be funny to someone even if its not funny to you. Now if the comedian is been serious and not trying to be funny with hurtful stereotypes then we can all get on our high horses and act like were holier than thou.
