Joe sounds fantastic. dirty, gritty…mixed with clear and clean. The band sound tight, heavy and focused. Love this version of the band. Still got it, just branched out too much for some people to appreciate. Still and always will be a fan of everything that they do!

This may be the best version of wasted that I've ever heard! You can really hear Rick's drums popping through with these complicated base patterns. All the licks and runs are totally unique with blistering solo by Viv. I like the album version but this one is on steroids.

Steve really was brilliant - a true genius, he wrote and musically gave 90% of this bands music. This very early song, Vivian shows was a masterpiece of guitar work. Not too flashy - just amazingly mesmerising but stunningly creative riffing and chord structure. Leppard remain one of the very few 'stadium bands' who bring it pure - ALL members with the exception of "The Thunder God" sing backing vocals, Leppard do NOT use tracking at all. As brilliant a guitarist he is Viv simply can't replicate the sounds "The Riffmaster" played - and am in NO way being critical of Viv, imo the best guitarist in this band, it's just a fact. That Leppard have not delivered chart/creative success since their true lyrical+musical genius passed away says it all. 'If only' Steve had lived - God only knows 'what' he'd be doing in the age of technology. "Wasted" remains a timeless and epic song. Heavy 100%

I don't agree that vivian "can't " replicate Steve's stuff, it's that he doesn't want to. He's a brilliant guitar player, he could copy any guitar players style as far as that's concerned, I don't think he wants to be a steve wanna be, and damned straight everyone would be critical of him for doing it. He plays his own unique style, and it's taken me this many years to appreciate that about him!

Wasted is a great song. When Pete Willis was fired, the band kinda went in a new direction...people forget he was fired during the recording of Pyromania, he played on and co-wrote many of the tracks on that album as well.
