DEFCON - The Full Documentary

A film about the world's largest hacking convention and its 20th year running. Filmed over the summer of 2012 and containing hundreds of hours of interviews, parties, presentations and spectacle.
Over 280 hours of footage was recorded in support of the documentary, and five separate camera crews were in action.
Directed by Jason Scott with camerawork by Eddie Codel, Alex Buie, Drew Wallner, Rick Dakan, Steve Fish, Kyle Way and Rachel Lovinger.

This is a convention where you'd want to disable your mobile phone WIFI.. and Bluetooth... yes, disable BLUETOOTH.. actually just turn off your phone.

jslingrowd This is true of what you speak of... Disabling your phone altogether due to fake cell towers that are setup for traffic analysis. I personally would have a phone running a honeypot just to see what was going on.

Don’t bring your phone at all. Leave it at home and have your phone calls forwarded to a throw away phone. If you have to call people with your number, just use a spoofer.

My DJ name is Felix K. From OC but living in Tijuana Mexico now I remember DJ Hard Trance at Defcon 7 where I played at 12 pm and the main room was pack and had people from Canada give me props.My friend Trent and Noid book me twice and had a great time.I think the second time I DJ there was at Defcon 8 where I played Techno at 9pm, wasn't as packed as the frist time but it was cool.the 3rd time was in 2010 or 2011 not sure but Defcon is dope.I wanna give a shout to Noid and Trent that work for Defcon.

He gave a good talk. During Q&A, someone asked to see their own record the NSA had on him. The good General lied thru his teeth (from one perspective, understandable) and said the NSA did not track US citizens in the US. Snowden was 6 months later. The NSA was *EXPLICITLY* un-invited from coming back. I was a bit sad, because the NSA was in the dealers room && I was able to stock up on NSA recruiting writing pens. (Also pissed off for obvious reasons, bu that is a different rant.)
