What were your issues with keto?

@@doyouevennaturebro4593 Keto takes the sugar out of the blood stream lowering blood sugars but not fixing the underlying reason the cells are not absorbing the sugar. It's treating a side effect, not the cause.

Thank you, John. I really enjoyed your endorsement. I have been on this MD plan for nearly 3 years. I recently have been having some issues staying full throughout the whole day. I listened to you say that you would freeze okra for snacks. I remember being a kid and loving okra that my mom would cook. I haven't had it for many many years. So I went to the store and bought some frozen okra to try it out. Dude, that's really good hack to keep my hunger at bay while lowing my blood sugar. Genius. It's the small things sometimes that help the most. Best of luck to you my friend.

Thank you John! I so needed to hear this today. I decided to start this today then I saw your video. I felt so alone as far as diabetes. I tell myself I’m too old, too far gone, too complicated, etc. Simplicity sounds so good. Today is the day!

Well at least those who are well off can be saved. Those lower income folks can just prepare to die . So dreadful!!

It doesn't matter what income people have it's all about the determination and willing to make a big life style change just to survive. I won't allow income to define me and I know that I have the faith and self adjustments to make my situation better. Why give up so fast before your battles begin and that self defeated mentality is only dragging you further away from the Goal Post. And the truth is you got something to live for hell even myself because I know there is Victory in God and I believe that anything is possible if you put your heart and mind into it and do the work. I don't know about you but as for me I ain't gonna let nothing get in my way or even stop me from succeeding my Goal because I know I can beat this and I know it will pay off in a Long Run because I'm gonna start my 2024 with a Huge Bang.

You had me with okra ❤. Living I Canada, I had never eaten okra before following a plant based diet. It’s not easy to acquire up here. I split them down the middle and pop them in an air fryer. So delicious and healthful.

What do you think of whole wheat flour that Indians use to make Roti ? It has the germ bran and endosperm - but it’s flour. Is it still a whole food ? And what about white rice ?

It’s a pity that programs like this are so expensive. This could save a lot of people but only save them if they have a lot of money. I just don’t understand.

I understand that. But all you can do is keep making progress and adjustments. And the truth is that eating healthier carbs and veggies and protein like bake fish, chicken, turkey, tuna and drink enough water to quench your thirst and hunger. And exercise like walking twice or 3 times a week until you build enough energy to do 4 or even 5 times a week and check your blood sugar twice a day. And believe me it will get better from there. I was diagnosed with prediabetes months ago and I due back and see my doctor for my A1C Test and I hope and Pray that I get spectacular news by starting off 2024.

John, by becoming more active, you're probably still gaining muscle as your fat loss slows down a bit, leading to slower overall weight loss. Not to worry! If you are continuing to feel better and have more energy, you are on the right path.

Thanks for your story John! 11.6 to 6.4 here, next step is to get under 6! I lost a toe too due to injury + infection, and it was an important turning point for me too. Glad you are doing well! Family history of diabetes that I didn't know about until I was already an adult diabetic, but now the ball is in my court to take control of things.
