Sir are you referring to online rating or fide rating
@journeytograndmaster4 ай бұрын
well, fide has made 1400 a minimum now, and most people play online nowadays anyway so rather online. But for my point, it doesn't make much of a difference.

Please may you recommend your favourite chess books that have helped you become an International Master.Thank you.

it's not like I have worked a lot with books when I was trying to become an IM (thank God, I do it now :) Probably it was Play like Grandmaster by A. Kotov and Botwinnik's books where he analyzes his games.

@@journeytograndmaster , thank you . What books are you working with now ?

I like your teaching, but, you just said don't go back. Then you put the queen back. Congrats on your win, I am sure it was earned.

I am only human, after all :) I am absolutely not perfect, that's the point of showing you my mistakes. So that you learn from it and don't repeat in your games.

Learn how to pronounce the word ' opponent ' if you use it that often

fair enough, thank you :)
@journeytograndmaster4 ай бұрын
it somehow never occurred to me that it could be pronounced differently. The more you live, the more you learn :)

Why do I get the feeling this guy was your "opponent" in this game? Here's this person shows up for a free chess lesson and wants to critique your English. You pronounce it just fine, no need to answer to trolls on the internet.
@journeytograndmaster4 ай бұрын
@zBrain0, thanks a lot for your support! Well, I prefer to think he genuinely wanted to help me improve :)
@georgehav6504 ай бұрын
@zBrain0 Lol, his pronounciation is totally not fine. You really shouldn't give English language speaking advice to anyone. And yes, I was just trying to correct because I reckon he's going to use this word a lot in future videos.
