Actually, the prosecutor DOES have to be unbiased. He also has to be professional. Now, he does represent one side, but for example, if the facts available don't support his side, he's supposed to drop charges. The actions of the prosecutor are supposed to be based on evidence and fact, not bias.

I loved watching the defense attorney. His expressions were hilarious. I think his choice of shirt was a reminder to the defendant that he is going to jail regardless and it's going to be worse if Peckerwood decides to go with another attorney.

I love when these defendant’s come at their attorneys and the judges back them and speak to their professionalism and dedication to their job. Their reputations preceded them and it shows it’s important to “represent yourself” accordingly. No pun intended haha.

I'm sure there was at least one video (Judge Simpson's docket?) where the public defender just said "sorry I messed up" and the judge said "kay let's do xyz". It saves everybody time. Tis better to see asap that your situation is unsalvageable, take the blame and make the most of what comes after.

The defendant’s attorney misunderstood the email and it’s his error. The court sets the date on record, the court didn’t agree to change the date. Always check the court docket. This is a fair judge, he didn’t not to set it aside but he did.

I can certainly understand the ADA's frustration with the special sentencing guidelines! Sounds like if this guy had had just a little bit of drugs on him, he would have qualified for extra jail time due to all his previous convictions. But, since he had a lot on him, he was arrested for possession with the intent to distribute, so it doesn't count against him on the special sentencing guidelines! If that doesn't sum up the utter incompetence of government, then I don't know what does!
