Defender faulty starter motor diagnosis and removal

After all the work I’ve done will the defender actually start.i end up testing and replacing the starter motor.

if it wasnt the starter motor what would it be, at the minute we are getting the starter motor engage then slip

I was thinking it could have been the wiring going to the starter motor possibly the ignition key switch as that’s hanging off.
