Near the end of a novel, Jacob gets close to a girl who also goes missing and her body is found later. I own this book! I read this book. If there is ever a time to read it, it’s now! How far would you go to protect your family? What lengths would you take to defend your child being charged of a heinous crime? What if your child is found guilty, do you support him/her? These questions cross your mind. Forcing you, the reader, to change your perspective. Fighting everything you know to be true, could ultimately be false. This book changed my perspective on my own life. At times as a reader I felt uncomfortable, and that’s how growth happens. We become uncomfortable and challenged. It’s just incredible.
