Kyle was staying by his best friend. So no crossing of state lines. The AR 15 belongs to him but was by Doms house. If youre in a situation you started and you ran away and they chase you down. Let's get this right 4 you. KYLE stayed by Dom in Kenosha where his AR15 was. Kernosha has a open carry rule. So the AR15 out is not a threat because there were over 100 ppl with AR15s. Kyle was the youngest that's all. They saw Kyle as an easy target to get his gun. I've got evidence of them ambushing Kyle that no one showed at the trial. It was him putting down the extinguisher. Zaminski distracted Kyle with his gun and Kyle backed up and Rosenbaum tried to catch him from behind the van. Kyle saw him and ran. Rosenbaum threw a bag with something in it. I have proof of this too. It hit him in the back. He turned tried to deter Rosenbaum who didn't stop. He still chased Kyle. When Kyle was blocked off Zaminski fires a shot in the air and Rosenbaum was on top on Kyle and Kyle shot him as he grabbed the gun. Come on dude all of this is in evidence. This interview is weak. Rosenbaum threatened Kyle told him he would kill Kyle when they got him alone. He had been in jail and said he wasn't afraid to go back to jail.

@@OpentoTruth nah dude this is a public platform. Do you have any idea how hard it is to get the rest of the people who don't know Kyle's story to understand 3 simple things. 1. He did not cross state lines. He lives 1 mile from the border. 2. The rifle was legal because it over 26 inches and he 17. He got it from Dom who lives in Kenosha. 3. His job, grandmother, dad, best friend all live in Kernosha. After the damage CNN did to him. You were discussing provocation. Stupid ppl believe all these things that Binger lied about. He doctored footage. Imagine treating a video for 20 hrs to make it look like Kyle aimed the weapon at Zaminski. You put a disclaimer at the beginning of the video and you say this is a discussion. People who don't know hear your uncertainty and the news spreads. There are people who won't let Kyle get back to his own life. Like that thug Hubers dad. Who allowed his son to go to jail more than 6 times but wants to cry when yet again his son broke probation send went where he shouldn't have been. There use to be a time when the law was the law. Not BLM gets special privileges. The right to bear arms is a human right in Kernosha and concealing it is illegal. Gaige Grosskreutz gun was illegal and he concealed it because he no longer could get a license. He got his taken away because he used it while under the influence. 6 months prior he had a DUI and he was still under probation. They say he was a medic, but he hadn't been for 2 years. He's part of the people revolution. A communist sect. I'm not even going to talk abt that Rosenbaum. Trying to put his hands on another kid. He was 36 had been in jail 13 years. Threatens to kill you. Who might not have had a gun but his buddy did and had tried to ambush you seconds before. There is no law in the entire United States that say carrying a weapon is provocation because it violates the second Ammendment. The constitution isn't racist it's rights you are born with. Every single human being.

@@OpentoTruth and no this is not copy paste. When a kid tries to get back to a normal life its an impossible thing when he has to fight against what people say on platforms. You can have your discussion but make it clear to your viewers that either you don't have all the facts and it's just a discussion between 2 friends.

@@Zac_Blaze We did both of those things. Dude, the video is like 5 mins of using the Kyle case as a launch pad to talk about the ethics of self-defense. We did not get into the details of this case at all like you are in these comments. Our goal for this channel is to help folks think honestly and clearly about philosophical/theological topics. So, it is not just about Rittenhouse, it is about building a worldview about how to think about self-defense in general. I hope that helps!

@@OpentoTruth I think ZaC and I were expecting something different, when you pose the question as “did Rittenhouse do the right thing?” and then not only do you not say whether you thought he did or didn’t, but then the conversation was almost totally unrelated to that question except in the most broad sense. And those kind of deep thought conversations are fine, sometimes fun, but people like ZaC and I like helping people understand the actual facts of the case, in situations where people don’t seem to understand… and despite asking the question of right or wrong, you never really got there yourselves. Psychological blue balls, so to speak. 😅

Y’all got off in the weeds really quickly… and all from mentioning the Declaration of Independence, which isn’t rule of law. Half way through the video right now, and not only have you not gotten back to Rittenhouse yet, but you both seem really uneasy about just saying how you feel. Obviously there are things that will shade your opinion, but how can you be as old as you are without knowing if you would defend you or your family with lethal force if absolutely required to? You’re throwing out weird extreme examples, or abstract examples (war or flame throwers) versus saying, what if someone kicked in your front door and came at your spouse or kids with a knife… how would you feel about self defense then? (Continuing to watch…)

You’re even talking about “right to life” as if it is solidly black and white, when it is in the same breath as “pursuit of happiness” when, obviously, if it makes someone happy to steal your car or punch you in the teeth, that’s not something that any reasonable person would abide. 😏🤷🏻‍♂️
@MisterRubbertoe

Ahh, you do get around to my more basic examples. 😏 And anyone who is willing to use lethal force to defend themselves, I think they’ve already gotten past the moral implications of it - and are likely just also making sure that they are acting within the law. But I haven’t seen too many folks like you described, where they think any self defense case is simple or just cut and dry. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Bur you both almost seemed to agree that lethal self defense would be “okay” for the “kick open your door with a shotgun and go after your kid” example… but I don’t think I heard either of you actually say it. 😄 I’m just finishing watching to see if either of you say if you believe what Kyle did was wrong, or if it’ll just stay open ended. 😏 Btw, many studies show that increase in penalty for a crime very rarely or only very slightly reduces the amount of that particular crime. Aww, boo… all done, and no solid answers, eh? It’s all good… it’s your show, if just batting a question around a bit is all you wanna do, y’all do you. 😏 take care, stay safe

@@MisterRubbertoe I [Clint] appreciate your thread of comments. Our show is primarily to model a conversation about important topics in a way that is (hopefully!) in tune with the intellectual virtues. As I stated near the beginning of the video, I didn't want to get into the nitty-gritty details of the Rittenhouse case, which makes an enormous difference when sorting out a moral and legal judgment. What I wanted to do was a brief introduction to the topic of self-defense more broadly considered, and let the listener judge for themselves whether principles that emerge from the discussion help us understand the Rittenhouse case. You can hear me say it now - I absolutely would defend my family in the kickdown the door scenario - and nearly do anything I'd need to protect those I'm responsible for. Sorry if that wasn't clear. What our discussion was about is how to philosophically/ethically justify such a position? What is the moral groundwork for it? How best to understand it beyond mere intuition or it "feeling right"? Those are the sorts of questions we ask on this show. It is a philosophy podcast first and foremost I think - still trying to figure it out!

@@OpentoTruth tnx man, I’m glad you saw that I wasn’t tryin’ to dig at you guys… and it was the first time I ran across the channel, so I also came in having no idea what to expect so was just going by assumptions from other vids.

Just so you know. Because you do not answer the question in your headline. Kyle did do the right thing.
