My lock remained unprogrammed for months, my lock did not come with paper instructions, there was a QR code on the battery cover that took me to a youtube video that then told me how not to program the lock. Was very frustrating, you saved the day. Thanks so much.

Hi Chris, the deadbolt on mine doesn't seem to be spinning freely even with the door open. I tried loosen a bit on all screws. The deadbolt would move in and out fine but require a little bit of force (same thing would happen with the key). I haven't got to putting the batteries in and the rest of the steps yet. Any ideas? Yours seems to spin very freely when you move it by hand at 7:32. Thanks!

Without actually seeing it in person it's difficult to diagnose, but if the mechanism rotates freely when out of the door, then I'd assume it's binding or getting drag when installed

@@chrismakesstuff1 Thanks for the quick response. The installation went pretty smooth. I was being careful every step. The only thing I did not try was to move the deadbolt with a flat head screw driver before installing the front and the back parts. Will try that next. Btw, do you have to grease the deadbolt machanism?

If I remember correctly, they do come from the factory with some assembly grease already in the bolt mechanism. More grease won't hurt it, though it wont fix alignment or interference issues if those are present.

Easiest way, use reset button, red button by the battery, and program a new code number using the procedure in the video

Very well could be. It's a tiny motor driving the mechanism, and if it's not mounted properly or with enough clearance it will struggle.

I'm not able to do it man. Gave 2 hours. The screws thag needs to be put from inside doesnt go all the way inside at your 4:11 and is stuck outside.

I'm assuming if everything is lined up properly and the 2 inside screws are not reaching, then the door is unusually thick.

instead of trying to change the code, try a hard reset with the red button inside the housing where the batteries go, then program a new code.
