Ms. Hirsi-Ali, Thank you for offering such clarity. There is definitely a double standard where Israel is concerned. It's been disheartening knowing that there are too few in power that have courage, including those in the U.S. Capitol and in the WH. I don't put any expectations on God. I love HaShem. We ALL belong to Him. He sees and knows everything. He is Infinite as is my faith. It is important to distinguish between multiculturalism and pluralism. At about 45:25 the gentleman conflated the two. What we have now is a multiculturalism that has been forced on us since the late 1970’s or the 1980’s. It was meant, or sold, as a way to acknowledge people’s different experiences - but has ironically evolved into identitarianism that emphasizes differences more than commonalities. Multiculturalists often suggest that “each kind should stay with their own kind.” They go so far as to recommend separate college dormitories and graduation ceremonies. This is a pernicious idea leading us back to separatism and segregation. Pluralism (e pluribus unum: from the many, one) acknowledges many cultures contribute to American culture, but it has a more unifying message. As part of our efforts to defend the values of Western Civilization, we should revive the call for pluralism (but we will have to define it repeatedly until people understand it). I agree with Ayaan that Second Wave feminists (before Judith Butler) and Cold War survivors suffer from hubris. We think that the waves of islamists entering Western countries will see the obvious benefits of Western thinking and it will just rub off on them. But it doesn’t. Meanwhile, they game the system and use our values against us (freedom of speech, public demonstrations, legal maneuvering, etc.) in a long game too many of our leaders don’t even know we are immersed in. Everything is at stake.

I asked myself why Ayann is so compelling compared to others. I think it is because she has suffered, made mistakes, admitted these, learned from them, picked herself up again and again without resentment in search of truth. She strives to make the world a better place for all. She has faith in humans and a loving God. She is a humble human being and a humble academic . She lives what she preaches and puts herself at risk to ask us to love our neighbour and put our faith in a loving God. She seems to have learned in her searching, that we can't know everything but we must take a leap of faith sometimes. We must look at our neighbour with a benevolent gaze and hope it is reciprocated. She has that quality of divine grace about her.

Ayaan, I’m so thankful to hear you’ve become Christian. I’ve wanted this for you for many years. The Palestinian Christian community has dwindled since 1948, but they’re still there, in our oldest churches in the world. I don’t have the answers, but I do care for the peace and safety and salvation of Palestinian children, just as much as Israeli children, & their families. Catholics and Orthodox live in Palestine, they have a story to tell just as much, but it’s rare, have to seek it out online. Next, I’d like to hear from Israeli Christians, because they exist, too.

agree with her to a certain extent ❤ The problem with religions is that they see themselves as the ONLY ABSOLUTE truth and degrade other religions, & preach that the others will end up in Hell😢 That’s why both Christians & Muslims are doing their best to convert people. 😢
@Salee-ze7qt3 ай бұрын
In Islam it's a goal to convert and dominate the globe by all means and allowed to kill for that (and allowed to kill the one who leaves Islam). In Christianity am individual might want to spread "their truth" but ultimately believe that God himself is the only one to judge (final judgment) and you are definitly not allowed to use violence to enforce it on others. It's more based on focusing on oneself and ones own efforts to end up in heaven rathet than to convince others. Islam is politically inseperable and doesn't allow secularism. Christianity does and is practising this successfully, they are not above the law and the laws are same for everyone regardless of their personal believes. That's a major difference.
