Sniper can be very rewarding at times. Like when you catch a spy being reckless or shooting a Medic healing a badly hurt teammate. I'm personally not the best at sniping myself in a lot of games (more of a up-close-and-blow-up-brains kind of guy) but when you get in the groove it's too satisfying.

Sniper is slightly contentious class as it's a class that doesn't really play for the objective and ultimately the win of a map. So even if you're playing sniper really, really well, you can still lose since you're not really pushing for progress in a map. That doesn't mean sniper has no impact. It's just not as simple as being good means you'll win. I suppose that goes for any class, but it is kind of multiplied with the sniper. And not just in TF2, but practically in any game really.

In regards of Sniper, his niche its more personal and going to casual play with him its a very nice choice to "relax" and "take it easy" sometimes. Hes so far the only example in fps for me of a "headshot" kind of game that doesnt feel cheap or tedious Check the game out at your will. I dont know how the bot stuff is rn, but it can be a fun experience.

And he even haven't talked about the differences between various sniper rifles (one of them relies on bodyshots more than on headshots so is easier to use, for example) or that you can equip a bow and arrows instead and go into more personal range with more yolo-playstyle maybe, haven't talked about his submachine guns, melee and bankate (piss-bottle than you can throw at people that will reveal disguised spies and make enemy hit by it receive more damage for a time, also of course they will be visually soaked in yellow xD). I love Sniper, he is amazing, but yes, one day you hit all the shots, the other you hit none, totally xD.

The best thing to do as Sniper is to crouch, face upward, and repeatedly right click in and out of scope view.
