The "SpiderWomen" don't even get their powers in the movies; they aren't even in their suits. The girls were in their suits for less than 4 minutes in a vision; they don't actually get powers, and you only see Madam Web's suit at the literal end and then credits.

In my 25+ years in EMS I've had three, maybe four people who were able to talk to me following a cardiac arrest and CPR. The vast majority we don't even get pulses back on, and the vast majority of those that we do, stay unresponsive for quite some time, with a good percentage never regaining consciousness. But this movie they have 80% success rate with CPR, and nearly every one regains consciousness and is taking ( coherently) moments after their pulse returns. Amazing. Also, Ezekail calls in as the dispatched police unit to tell dispatch that the call about the missing girls being in the diner was wrong. Makes one wonder what the actual cops in the dispatched unit were thinking when they heard someone else calling in as them. Also, also. Ezekial getting his hands on anyone , in one of Cassie's premonitions , or anyone other than a main character outside of the premonitions, is instantly fatal, or at least disabling. The main characters, outside of premonitions, on the other hand, don't even suffer the slightest significant injury when he hits them pretty damned hard. I guess teen girls are just that much tougher than full grown cops( who all go down ( and stay down) instantly when Ezekial hits them. Also, also, also. Yes. Ambulances routinely carry road flares. No. They usually do not carry them in the jump kit. That contains medical equipment.

@richchappell
@richchappell 3 ай бұрын
That's pretty normal for TV and movies. They tend to show a much higher success rate for CPR than we get in reality. Same with people being revived after drowning and then just going about their day instead of going to the hospital (which also happens in this movie). Or people whose hearts get restarted by a defibrillator. The filmmaker doesn't care if it's realistic, just that it looks good and meets the needs of the plot.

I was okay with how they met honestly. The four of them had just as much likelihood of catching the same train as literally anyone else on the train with them 🤷‍♂️ I personally thought Zeke was causing his own death by hunting the girls to begin with (giving them reason to retaliate as adults) but they didn't even go that route. Either way, I don't believe them meeting on the train was outside something a better movie could've gotten away without questions

It's supposed to be a prequel and origin story to a character who most movie only watchers don't know, someone who wouldn't cut it as an actual protagonist due to her clairvoyance based abilities, and who should have been alluded to as early as Spider-Man Far from Home and formally introduced at the end credits of No way Home

Lmfao what. Youre basically saying this movie would be good if it was… good. I think the idea is to stop shoe horning woke ideas like women NEEDING to be in male roles. It’s forced and not welcome clearly. Organically everything works. The weird aspect of it isn’t women in roles of power at all. Create the millions of stories in comics based on women that are INCREDIBLE. they’re wasting so many character’s stories that are already women and stories that are established. So lame
@Gears_Starting
@Gears_Starting 3 ай бұрын
@@drinkmorecocacola Not exactly. I was saying that it would have been better for them if they did short films. Short films are cheaper, more concentrated, and obviously shorter. This allows for people to not only test run certain ideas to see if people like those ideas but also decrease the dislike for something that is not good by preventing a dragged-out experience. And if they did make a movie, I just said it would be better to get someone that is known for making more with less. It is way more than just, "the movie would be good if it was good." I do not think wokeness had anything to do with why this movie was bad. I was not aware that it even had a woke message. Your idea of woke might be different. I guess you do not think that the Alien movie with Ellen Ripley was woke. Did you like the show Arcane? Because there were strong, female characters who could fight just as well as the men and the show had LGBT representation. Was that woke to you?

Fireworks contain a mixture of fuels and oxidisers, which means they have their own oxygen source. Which means fireworks burn happily underwater. This is how spaceships can burn their engines in space, and also why some rockets were designed to be launched underwater.

That truck was in the way, but she made it while Toxic was still playing. On both the cab and diner's radios at the same time apparently. Thou maybe that was in her head, because why would she turn the radio on. This movie was dumb.

"When you take on the responsibility, great power will come" is the only part that makes sense to me because every peter gains their powers before accepting the responsibility that comes with being Spiderman. With Madame web, she must acknowledge and accept her destiny prior to unlocking her full potential/Powers, thus the change in the saying.

Something that bugged me with the whole "I have to kill them before they kill me" angle. I feel had the bad guy not stepped in the girls would've never interacted never known of him. And he wouldn't have died. Like the movie emphasizes a lot, the future isn't set it has come. So him going after them could've set up that moment anyway.

I love that you noticed the GTA thing, because I thought of that when I was watching this. It also reminded me of GTA again when she can just lay low for like...a few hours and suddenly there's no issues with her taking her stolen vehicle to the airport and taking a flight to another country when she's a known wanted kidnapper. And then again at the end where she goes to the hospital and then apparently can just go home, even though while the girls might be able to explain that they weren't kidnapped, she has now stolen two vehicles in the course of this movie.

I’m so glad you mentioned the Daily Bugle bit. As a former newspaper man, I laughed so hard at the ridiculousness of the “kidnapping” being front page news and the paper already delivered to out-of-town locations. Sure, we had an early edition - but not that goddamn early! 🤣🤣🤣

My wife and I saw the movie yesterday with at least twenty other people in the theater. Around the time when Mary goes into labor and Ben has to bring her to the hospital, the stupidest thing happened. ALL THREE GIRLS GET IN THE CAR TO GO WITH THEM. WHY????? If they are being hunted by Ezekiel, why are they leaving the apartment? I swear I could hear at least 5 people in the theater say, "Why are the girls going with them?" While we, the audience, knows that had to take place so Ezekiel can make one of the girls face on the traffic camera and we can have the ambulance scene, it was still a disappointing way to do it.

Emt here, CPR is actually extremely physically taxing irl. Even more so depending on the physique of the recipient. The longer you do it the less effective it is as you get tired.

I was going to say something similar. Not an EMT but am familiar with how CPR works. I don't think a lot of people realize just how hard you're supposed to push down when doing compressions. Cracking ribs isn't uncommon and it's ideally done in teams because it really is so tiring after a few minutes (if done right) ya really are that winded and are supposed to switch out.

Indeed firework isn't immediatly killed by the water. In my youth I have thrown even cheap fireworks into the water and if I had a good timing it detonated about one or two seconds after submerging. I think that is because the powder is self-sufficient with the oxidator and so needs no oxygen from the air. If there is not enough water at the fuse (because it is already burning inside the firecracker) to remove enough energy to extinguish the fuse, it works. It looks a little bit like a water bomb in a war film. You see an explosion with a bubble of air underwater. This bubble comes to the surface and creates a fountain of water. A small fountain with a small firecracker. But it works.
