Excellent. These videos are so packed full we can watch them multiple times to really anchor the message so that we can remember to respond accordingly in today's right filled culture.

Our original rights are universal among all humans not just one group or sex or sexuality.

If it is the government that actually secures the rights, what reason is there to introduce God into the conversation? The government will secure whatever you can convince it to secure, the origin of the proposed rights are irrelevant.

Hilarious that you used Dr King who spoke against economic injustice and was called a communist by the Christian right wing of the time. Also said: "There are those who are asking the devotees of civil rights, When will you be satisfied? We can never be satisfied as long as the Negro is the victim of the unspeakable horrors of police brutality." Still want to talk about Dr. King's beliefs on rights?

Excellent description of what the word right means but the human sin nature a person who lives in the flesh or as the Bible says those who live in darkness will justify their sin by twisting definitions and reality
No he didn't say that. The Bible is not just a guide for our rights. It's a history of things people did. The Ten Commandments don't mention keeping people as slaves and Jesus even confirmed that the Ten were the only valid laws for believers. He even narrows it down to 1st Love God, then love others as you love yourself. If you are enslaving someone, you're breaking that law.

@@shimauma42 Not every christian denomination agrees on what are the Ten Commendments. When you read the bible, a whole series of laws are dictated. What we accept as the Ten Commendment are the first ten laws. But it's kind of hard to tell where one law ends and another begins. Especially since a good chunk of the Ten Commendments are kind of redundent. In this same section of laws, basically an entire economic system is described. This includes pretty mundane stuff like the value of animals, but slavery is in there as well. While slavery is probably not in the Ten Commendments, they were explained along with the Ten Commendments.

@@shimauma42 You are having the right aim but your way to it lacks wisdom and knowledge. I hope my words will not seem to you like an accusation. You are right that through love we know that slavery is wrong. My point is that you are disqualifying the Bible by your own words. The Old Testament does not contradict in itself neither the New Testament neither each other. Slavery was never taken as a right. It was always limited or forbidden. When limited it has special reasons in a special context. This channel has a great video about it: Please watch it! To get one example: The Old & The Testament show us our relationship to God. We are not just his kids and friends but also his followers and slaves. For He is our Lord and Master. That should be clear concerning the great difference in being: We are not God. He knows. We don't. So Paul makes clear - it doesn't matter which state you are in: we are all the same before God (Gal 3, 28). No one is greater than another. In the End we are all forgiven children and servants of his Majesty. Please consider your approach towards the Bible and mostly the moral context. For it is always ethical. The Bible just doesn't need to condemn every behavior for every sin is detruction. It highlights consequences and shows us how (not) to live.

precise definition of the term rights cannot be made as it varies in terms of region, religion, culture and constitutional background of the people dwelling in the various parts of the world . Both rights and duties are two sides of the coin. As rights originate from God given laws for well being of the human society, exercising the various forms of rights without impringing upon fellow citizens' rights is not only obligatory but also prerequisite for harmony and survival of human race.
