You obviously realize that Hysteria came out in the later 80s, but have you forgotten that Def Leppard had an album out before that? That was "Pyromania", and the album was released in 1983. Not to mention, Ramesh simply said "...every time I hear THEM..." (emphasis mine) *not* "...every time I hear THIS SONG" and therein lies all the difference.

She had a little too much to drink. She was screaming saying it was "it was first time!!!!" And the lead singer puts his arm around my mom and says "did you hear that mates? She lost her virginity at our show" and my mom "no that's not what I meant" while fan girling. They got to meet the band and took pictures and she still has them. And I grew up listening to these guys. Legendary band.

2016 and I don't give a fuck - Def Leppard still fucking rock and this song takes me so waay back in time in my life. No shame and I don't give a damn and I'm a Heavy Metal Head who has a major soft spot for 80's rock esp. Warrant, Ratt and Def Leppard.

+Hari Menon I'm going through another Warrant phase at the moment, Dog eat Dog particularly, so overlooked! It's brilliant. I'm also indoctrinating my guitar students by teaching them the riffs ;)

+Dave Locke Oh that is so awesome, Dave. Dog Eat Dog is sorely underrated, utterly brilliant and will be perpetually immortal for those of us who totally get it and love it. Teach them well, my friend so they carry the music we all love onto their generation and onward. Esp April 2021, Bridges are burning, Bitter pill, Quicksand, etc. More power to you Dave :)

+Hari Menon Thanks :) I will do indeed. I was teaching Quicksand today :) I'll move through the others over the next weeks :) :)

This was always my favorite Def Leppard song. And the video is so dreamy and wild, i love the circus, the bare feet, the gypsy-like people. I must have watched it a 1000 times in the 80s. And the first 15 seconds and again at 1:22 is the dreamiest 80s synth ever. I wonder why this never got to the top like Hysteria, the vibe is very similar.

My 16 year old cousin used to babysit me when I was four, he played the whole Hysteria album for hours, he says I went crazy with this song 🤣 almost 40 years later he still sometimes babysit my kids and he plays the album and they go nuts, it feels like it’s 1987 all over again.
