I really like the world buff back and forth. I think both sides of the argument were well and cogently articulated. I think skarm won out in the end though, with his argument about how fragile 40 man guilds are, and that if they have the ability to become stronger and clear content through raid buffs, that alone is enough to keep the buffs around and tolerate their potential exploitability. Guilds not breaking up because they can't get past a boss, is a better and more desirable outcome than guilds falling apart because they're not quite good enough to progress yet. That some try hard guilds can get through raids faster with world buffs will be tolerable in comparison to worse guildsfalling apart because there are no world buffs. Which in turn is better for the game and community in general. I don't know if the "are world buffs an exploit" argument was settled, but it doesn't need to be. It will make the content easier for some, and harder for others as the dps will no doubt scale faster than fury-prot will become viable, and make it actually harder for the try hard guilds because threat is a much bigger problem for them, with those buffs. Especially on horde due to them lacking pally buffs and gaining windfury.

Yesterday I got kicked out of guild because I said that Bear Tanks sometimes are better than Warriors :D. I guess it has hurt Mr. Warrior ego so he get rid of me. Druid stigma is still alive, we need to change it in Classic ;)

FYI boss mobs are always three levels higher than what level is attacking them which means ragnaros was a level 43 Elite not a level 63 Elite so he's going to have less armor they scale bosses in dungeons even to this day if you were to enter molten core Rag going to have more HP and more armor in bfa than classic,

Can anyone explain “stance dancing”? I get that certain moves require to be in a certain stance, and that you should only changes stances when you have lower rage (tactical mastery changes this- Arms tree talent), but I’m still not getting the picture here with when to change stances, and more importantly- why.

I think there is a No Changes solution to World Buffs: Community Stigma and Leaderboards. Running Raids with World Buffs should be looked down on. Oh you had to get World Buffs to beat X? Leaderboards and and World Firsts should be World Buff free. Have a Scorekeeper addon that checks raid for world buffs, and if so, when they report their parse, it gets an asterisk or put on the "with world buffs" leaderboard.

Running with moron pugs in 5 mans is the best training you can do as a tank. If you don't regularly train tanking, you are going to suck. Look at it like, HAHA I am the top of the treat meter! CATCH ME IF YOU CAN and all the mobs are hitting me, that means I am better than the other tanks that you run with.

Skarm your math is wrong about the Armor Debuffs. Armor debuff from Sunder - 900 Armor, Curse of Reck - 640 Armor, Faerie Fire Talented is - 680 Armor, 2 stacks of Annihilator - 322 Armor, and a Grand Total of 2542 Armor Debuff.

Skarm is likely a good player, but I feel like he's just regurgitating the things he has been told. Information that has been gathered on the private servers at that. I don't get the feeling that he is the one that worked these things out. His inability to see fury/prot as ineffectual in classic is a good example of this. crit suppression means far less flurry uptime. TPS decrease. There's no more /sit to exploit the enrage. HUGE TPS decrease Parry chance is 14% instead of 5.6%. Much more spiky damage taken, especially if you try to DW tank the boss. Also a TPS decrease. World buff stacking won't be as easy, and hopefully they won't be allowed in raids or stacked to begin with. This DW fury nonsense largely only works because you are breaking the game with world buff stacking. Bosses on the pservers just use their abilities on cd. The ai in vanilla will be better. You add all this up, and the DW fury warrior is harder to pull off, and the reward for doing so is much less.

The people that don't know what's potentially useful, and what's not aren't going to be better off listening to this guy. He also has a bad habit of talking about things only applicable to the top guilds, as if it applied to everyone. Fury/prots only function is to shave a few minutes off a raid clear time. That's it... Even if by some fucking miracle it's still a worthwhile spec in classic, it's still not wise for 99.9% of guilds to use it. But do you see him preface that fact in his videos? Nope....

The DW fury tanking shenanigans only work when you and your raid are geared to the teeth. Nobody would ever pull that off during "progression" but when most of the players have full BIS surviving as a warrior will not be an Issue. Skarm has a video where he tanks Nef as a druid - in cat form because they are so stacked

All those things apart from the world buffs just make the point at which you switch to DW fury a bit later, so you're more geared. It won't stop it being possible. I'm sure some guilds will use it on progression in the later raids but even if it's only useable on farm, that doesn't make it bad - after all farm raids are 90% or more of your total raids.

As someone that played vanilla and knew many tanks that had 31 points in fury, including myself. You are flat wrong, at the bottom of the talent tree for prot there are ZERO useful survivablity talents (imp shield wall is a waste of talent points and far to situational) all of the good talents are easily accessible while having 31 points in fury just spec defiance, last stand and imp shield block, then put the rest of the points where you want.. You just wear a shield. Maybe, you should actually look at the talent tree and stop saying nonsense.
