It's heavy and probably one of the saddest Deftones songs as it's about Max's stepson Dana who passed away the year before the song was made. It's also why Max's band he made after Sepultura was called Soulfly. Metal history in one five minute long song.

Love the reaction, You've Seen The Butcher is very atmospheric. A lot of Deftones' lyrics are very metaphorical, and definitely rife with innuendo. It's the type of music where the artist's meaning behind the writing isn't necessarily a huge focus though always very interesting to know, but it's definitely meant for you to pull your own meaning from.
