The Mig-23ML is probably one of the best premiums I've ever bought in WT for the purpose of SL grinding and research. There's also a unique feature (unsure if this is present on other aircrafts) that the Mig-23ML can IR lock onto other jets which gives you an advantage when using R-60Ms or R-24Ts. So unless if your target is aware of you, they won't know a missile is launched because it's IR locking and not radar locking.

I agree, I Talisman'd my MiG-23 MLD and never looked back. Same with the F-5E and J-7E. All great jets perfectly suited for air RB, even with the curse of 16v16 where no one can really clutch up consistently anymore. But, hey, the Ta-152 H has always been the king of air RB, and has been for many years now. I remember a time when it just came out it was so horrible. Same with Do-335, all great planes now. Just insane how 1 letter difference makes the MLD and ML premium so different in performance overall in this current meta.

They should have made better engines and not been so shit at metallurgy and structure work. The 27 and 29 in game already have much better thrust to weight than in real life in all altitudes, while the 16c is lower than real life.

Got 450 games, almost 900 kills in it, keeping in mind I sucked at the game when I got it (still do). Edit: oh, I see you meant the MiG-23ML. I got it mainly to grind the Su-11, Su-25, and the Mig-15bis. I sold the Obj.292 for it, which I regret VERY MUCH now.

Man ive just been starting to enjoy the mig23s in sim, nerfing the flight model on the mig 23 when its the only plane in its br bracket that can really stand up to the bigger usa/brit/french teams is really going to kill the 10.3-11.3 sim bracket. You allready struggle to find a game playing usa because there is no one playing the other team, making the only good plane the other team has worse is going to compound that. Above all, the Gripen needs a nerve of its heat signature... He's banned from competitions because of that, he doesn't give off much heat and above all yes he's a little more efficient than irl. The F16 remains consistent.

The ML being more of a brick will be too sad for me, i love it, and R24Rs at 11.0 are ridiculous, gaijin wont do this mistake. Isnt the fact that the R24R are a great missile for the br, but the fact that half the RWRs at the BR cant get pings from the radar that guides it, makes it a great weapon.

The only problem i have, and aperantly only me, my radar simply wont lock anybody anymore, i havent experianced this with my mig23ml ever before. Every time i try to lock an enemy now it locks for 0.5 seconds and then the lock fumbles. It has made the r24r's useless to me and sadly i cant really use this plane anymore becaus r24t's are really good but everybody constantly flares

My favorite part about this plane is it being mach 2 capable in a real match. Ive outrun f16s at high alt, its hilarious, they literally cannot catch you. My second favorite part is the ability to 1v3 phantoms. And theyre going to do away with all that....bruh why do they insist on ruining everyone's fun?!

Damn I love the mig I just had a game where I killed a f16 f15 and mig 29 with r24t. Personally I wouldn’t recommend the r24r because of the radar because it just seems inconsistent. And also it’s all personal preference cus I followed what everyone else said (the r24r ) and I was only getting like 7k each game and I tried the r24t and now on average I get like 23k

But the r24r is pretty strong in headons or side aspect with mti radar easy kills but if enemy pays attention and drops 2 flares even when not even flaring bc of your missile the r24t will miss so radar is better

in the gaijin forum, someone did a "Bug report" of the mig 23 overperforming, and someone in gaijin respond that they are gonna nerf it (overall is a 20% nerf to the sustain turn ratio and probably a lot more drag)
