The Mk5 and Mk2 hispano have different belts now since last major update, stealth on Mk2 is HEI / HEI / SAPI and on the Mk5 it is HEI / SAPI. So that's a reason the Mk2 feel like they hit a lot harder since the SAPI still does little damage.

This is the plane I used to learn Sim. Probably the best jet to do so. It's incredibly stable, super easy to fly, has a lot of ammo and 2 missiles. And it's also a naval plane so you can practice landing on the carrier with it. Just amazing. It's also very viable in uptiers too.

@@Con5tantine it's perfect for that. you cna practice with flying control, if you spin it you can easily recover it, and has solid armament. Vry good at turning also, something very important in sim especially at the beginning when you sturggle to keep enemies in sight

There are two things about this plane that really don't make much sense: -It's a very strange hybrid between the Mk 100 and 101. It has sidewinders so it should be a 101 but it lacks the search radar it had. So technically it is both variants at the same time and because of that we can't receive one of them in the main tree. -Not only it's useful in air battles, it's the only german fighter below 8.7 that can carry rockets and bombs, apart from that useless variant of the already hopeless Me-262. So, you want decent CAS for your 7.0-8.3 ground lineup? Wait until the only exact day the Sea Hawk is available and buy it.

@@flak8842 oh yah now a days you counter it like nothing with anything that just flies faster but In the old sim meta tier 5 that thing was the second fastest plane in the bracket, the best overall turnfighter and with 2 missiles. The best meta plane to counter it was the F9F-8 Cougar that is faster by a pretty small margin and drops speed like a mig21 with 1/4 of the acceleration only. Those were hard but fun times

Its a crazy thing ive noticed in alot of games which im really good at (not warthunder) that you will receive far more flaming from your team mates when you play the game really well vs playing it really badly. Being more passive and picking moments is frowned upon vs just being crazy and dying.

Unrelated to this video, Gaijin completely broke radar missiles on the console version yesterday. Basically, you can have a solid radar lock, hit your button for "Weapon Lock: Air-to-air" and the seeker will flash once then deactivate. HOWEVER, this only happens in actual missions, not in test flight, making it doubly annoying to deal with if you were trying out your radar missiles in test flight before going into an actual match.

I wouldnt say that the me163 is a very sad plane. It has some major drawbacks, but it excels at diving into furballs and coming out of it with 4 kills and a win. It can dogfight everything. But its very sad if enemies run from it and bnz it. Cause it cant catch them nor shoot them down from behind. But it can be a lot of fun to fly. My personal record is 8 kills without landing. Crashed into the last kills wreck because i only had 4 rounds (2 trigger pulls) of 30mms left. Intense match.
