I actually quite like the goons in city with the armour guards not just being big biffy guys like in Arkham Knight , they were just normal guys in armour and then there were the one armed brothers and finally the Titans. All this was woven together quite well I thought. Well the Titans could’ve been sightly better but they still well. Not to mention the designs were so well and unique and so were the villains designs. Overall they did quite well on this I would say.

City didn't incorporate other playable characters into the story the best. Catwoman is entirely superfluous to the plot which is why she was originally an optional extra. Her story is separate from Batman's and isn't interwoven at all until the end which doesn't need an entire separate playable campaign to justify. Knight has the characters interact in game and work together. Playing as two characters in a combat or predator section accompanied by good banter and minor traversal is a better incorporation than just having another playable character in the open world. You can't even interact with the other when playing as one. As soon as you are Catwoman Batman disappears from the game world. It's lame compared to Knight.

I was playing the Riddler’s revenge when I saw the notification also all the points you made were very true. The reason Arkham City will always be the best for me at least is that obviously straight up nostalgia, but it was the first console game I got introduced by my older brother. I remember everyday watching him play and I would be so amazed at the music, fighting, stealth,story, and over all gameplay. City will always have a special place in my heart 😎😎🙏🙏🙏

The only thing that annoyed me about playing as Catwoman, was climbing. The pouncing climb she does sucks and the timing element makes it worse.

I think City's story does a good job in giving an excuse for a lot of fan-favorite Batman elements to show up. The concept was also a pretty smart way of giving players an open environment while necessarily reigning things into a specific portion of Gotham. That said, I'd hesitate to say that it's actually the best Arkham story or even that great of a story overall. It's kinda way too contrived all over and rushes pretty hard in the end to tie up its disparate plot elements. The Hugo Strange/Ra's Al Ghul connection felt especially weird since we already had a big section revolving around Ra's earlier and the reveal doesn't amount to much other than shooing both those characters out of the remaining story. I'd say that, as stories, Origins and Knight are more compelling overall. Maybe Asylum too, as relatively simple as it is.

Great series, thank you! How about: "Best Arkham Game (Journey To) Platinum Trophy". For me, the greatest platinum might be Asylum. City is also great but those challenges and campaigns... Same maps for every playable character with just a little twist for each of them - so frustrating. They were not technically hard to obtain but it was just so much repetition that it got really boring. I still got the platinum from City though. I think the worst is Origins. Obviously because they added the multiplayer element in the game... And now, I can't get the platinum because the servers are down... Those trophies for multiplayer still exists but you can't actually play the multiplayer, at least not on PS3 (I know I'am behind the time). I haven't played Knight yet but so far Asylum has the greatest platinum.

What I love about this game is I recently started playing it again and when you just get into the steammill and hear Harley speach you can hear her and joker discussing about the fake joker trick and joker says be quiet someone might hear you after Harley accidentally blunts it out when mistaken clay face joker as the real joker

I will never, NEVER EVER understand NOR forgive Rocksteady for taking away unique gadgets from Nightwing in Arkham Knight!!! Why didn’t they try to come up with JUST ONE NEW UNIQUE gadget for all 3 returning Arkham City bonus character? As well as keep all of their initial ones?! Why?!! The complete lack of interesting, unique hand-2-hand/predator style boss was Rocksteady’s biggest sin when making Arkham Knight, their second biggest (to me) was dumbing down Robin and mostly Nightwing. The neeext sin was the Batcave, or the lack of one…like how epic would it be to FINALLY be able to launch the Batmobile from the cave through that waterfall?!?! The next one is the lack of being able to switch between Robin, Nightwing, and Catwoman in Story Mode, especially in the post game…I personally would’ve liked to have seen those 3 characters used more. The final sin for me was the removal of the martial artist enemy types…..had those things been, well, corrected, the game would’ve been a rare example of a PERFECT 10-10 game, even with it’s relatively weak story….even with all those missed opportunities, Arkham Knight is still great, 7&1/2 to an 8 out of 10

This game is without a doubt the one in the Arkham bunch that gave my man Black Mask the less disrespect ^^ Gotta love it just for that #RespectforRoman #BlackMaskslivesmatter About Arkham Blackgate, I really loved the concept, when I read what the game was going to be about I was super pumped, since I thought it was going to be an actual add on on "real" consoles, not a handheld one (I love my handheld consoles, but for this particular game, I wasn't convinced). An Arkham game in which you infiltrate Blackgate during a huge riot, with territories belonging to Black Mask, Penguin and Joker... I started to imagine a full game in which you had to infiltrate the prison in your Matches Malones disguise/persona, and the riot only happens mid-game... Like in that comics storyline in which Victor Zsasz made his first appearance, "Batman: The Last Arkham". And then during the game you can "join" one of the 3 factions inside, do some detective work to find out how Zsasz is getting in and out (if we follow that storyline), and you have to be careful not to look too skilled in hand-to-hand since Matches Malone is an important cover and you don't want to blow it. Thinking more about it, it would be more suited for a Telltale-like gameplay; and now I realize I have zero originality, since in Batman Telltale there is a part where you're stuck in Arkham Asylum, and meet "John Doe" for the first time... sadly it's way too short, a whole season of that would have been awesome. If any *Arrow* enthusiasts are reading this, imagine a game based on the first part of season 7... locked in with a bunch of people *you* helped lock, trying to survive both the inmates, the corrupt guard and the crazed psychiatrists who experiment on prisonners. What a neat game this could turn out to be... Ok rant over, m'bad ^^'

I’d rather do collectibles in Origins, it just felt easier, and the buildings were easier to navigate post game when going back to collect everything….City wasn’t TOO bad, but OMG Arkham Asylum drove me crazy with the traversal in places with locked doors, weird points of entry to different rooms, and those god awful Joker teeth!!! Arkham Knight was annoying too with collectibles, that game had WAAAY too many, and there were those that were hard to find, and considering how many there were, some were just a bit too difficult for my taste….i can handle any difficulty within reason, but in such tedious, repetitive tasks, I’d rather that stuff’s difficulty be at a minimum.

I love City's map in terms of content, but it is a chore to navigate in my opinion, while Knight has to me the best map, I have finished the game more than 15 times and I enjoy just roaming the map looking at all the minute details and easter eggs around, I absolutely love the attention to details in Knight

When it comes to *Gotham* , (which is my personal favorite live action DC show; yes, even in front of Doom Patrol, Swamp Thing, Watchmen, Constantine or any of the other usual n°1 spot ^^), I'd definitely recommend checking it out if you're a big Batman nerd, and in particular if you have a soft spot for the Bat-rogue gallery. It's also relatively "stable", unlike DC shows like Arrow & The Flash who both have amazing first 2 seasons, and then take a deep dive (Arrow did come back in great form in season 5 though). *Gotham* has some weaker seasons (the consensus is that season 3 tends to drag a bit, and season 5 is too rushed, but it's not like they're hated liked both Arrow and The Flash's seasons 4) Long story short: if you're a Bat-nerd and you don't mind the sometimes goofier side of the heroes (like in the animated "Batman: The Brave and the Bold" and the live action tv shows "Legends of Tomorrow" or the old Adam West "Batman" series from the 60s) and obscure Bat-rogues, then chances are that you're going to have a great time watching this gem of a show

I love city but it’s not my favorite for one reason and that’s riddler trophies it really just burns me out every time I play city which probably is why I like knight more than city because I just can’t wait to do something other than riddler trophies. I know this is my fault because I go after all the trophies every time but it honestly feels more like a punishment when there really isn’t even a 100 percent completion bonus.
