The best psa I've seen was a commercial that started out as a back to school type thing. It then transitioned to the students talking about their supplies and using them to escape an active shooter. It ends with a girl texting her mom that she loves her while hiding in a bathroom stall and silently crying. She has her eyes closed and is bracing herself, nodding as she accepts her fate.

The best PSA i have ever seen start off as a classical anti bullying ad where you see a kid getting bullied, insulted etc... the only unusual thing is that it seem to focus on the bully rather than on the victim/witness. At one point you see the bully in the classroom cracking jokes about the poor kid with his friends when the teacher come in the room and say that the kid won't come, the bully thinking nothing of it ask something along the line of "oh he's too afraid" and the teacher respond that no, he's dead, killed himself last night. Whole class go silent, you can see the expression of absolute shock and horror on the bully face, it then go fast forward 50 or so years, you see a middle aged man with a look of regret on his face, he is revealed to have been the narrator all along, he say that he didn't realised the evil he was doing until it was too late and now he has to live haunted every day by the fact he is responsible for the death of a kid. That's when it hit you, this wasn't a fictionnal ad, this was a testimony, it just suddenly come real. It has to be the best depiction of the effect of bullying i have ever seen, you are a 12 y old kid, cracking jokes, having fun and then one day you are a murderer, you didn't want this, but you are, you destroyed a family witouth even realising and its too fucking late. Seen it happen live when i was a kid. 11 year old dude, we talked a few time even tho i was around 1 year older as we were both regular at the school library. He was the smart type, intelligent af, well liked by the teachers, also super kind from what i remembered, never had any trouble with anyone. Well, we knew he was getting picked on by his classmate because he wasn't tall, intelligent and frankly looked a bit odd (Classy as hell, big coat and the exact same haircut as captain harlock) We didn't think much of it until one day we come in school and i learn he's just fucking dead, like, it felt unreal, then i look at his classmates, mf all had that dead stare of shock, and then we have the head bully, y'know that one kid who's popular and is the one picking on kids and the other just follow him. Well, as soon as he learned what happened he snapped and ranned off to hide somewhere, took a knife and started butchering his wrist, the school was small so he was caught quick and sent to the hospital but damn, the expression on his face, like, we all thought that if we see a bully in real life we'd kill him, but truth is, there was no work left to do, he knew what he had done, he may still be breathing but he was dead, he likely hasn't even recovered yet, and its been almost 10 years. Needless to say that PSA sticked with me when i saw it like a few month after that. So yeah, morale of the story, be kind to people, don't be a dick.

I remember seeing this one really good PSA, I think it was called “Real kids don’t bounce back.” It had a cartoon child being pushed around by an angry dad and doing all those goofy cartoon stretchy stuff instead of getting hurt. Near the end the dad ended up throwing the kid down the stairs and when you would expect to see, idunno, a flattened cartoon kid, it was an actual child facedown at the foot of the stairs.

here’s a psa i might never forget: it starts out as this polaroid of a guy having a good time. then his face starts to get concerned and depressed. he gots spots, rotted teeth, panic and anxiety attacks, and paranoia, as well as anger issues. then it suddenly transforms to a troll who’s face is so deformed it belongs to a cartoon, before melting away leaving darkness. it was a drug psa from the scot’s against speed, ecstasy and acid. but damn if my polaroid developed like that i’d be scared for life.

One psa that really scared me recently was one where it starts out like some back to school commercial where the kids are appreciating all the things their parents are getting them and then in a scene in the hallway a school shooting starts and kids like “I’m glad my mom got me these running shoes” as he’s running down the hallway past corpses. There is another kid who breaks a window with a skateboard. And it ends with a kid saying “I’m glad my mom bought me this new phone” as she texts hot mom saying “I love you” and I was depressed for the rest of the day… Thank god I’m homeschooled.

I can't remember the name of the company that makes those but I know exactly what PSA you're referring to. That company is extremely good at making hard hitting messed up PSAs. The wierdest PSA/biggest shock ad i really remember watching. It was about self harm and it started off by this girl picking up a razor and bringing it to her wrists. The next day she had a red sleeve over her arm to "indicate" the blood i guess. And it showed her trying to take it off but it was apart of her skin indicating that the scars cant be removed. It showed a clip of her at the dinner table shaking her legs which had red shorts on them. It zoomed in on her crying and then It showed another clip of her the next day with a red jumpsuit on scratching her skin begging god to remove it from her body. I guess the ad was trying to show how self harm can become addictive and how once the scars are on your body they are there forever. I was traumatized as hell it was just disturbing

saw a PSA that still scares me from SHP (sandy hook promise, they make good psas) and we were following a story of a kid who writes on a library desk every day and someone responds. Then, he asks who it is and before he can read it the library shuts down. Fast forward to them getting yearbooks, a girl asks him to sign her yearbook. He does and the girl recognizes his handwriting and they’re like, “oh you were the table writer!” After a few seconds, a shooter walks in and everyone is screaming. Then, the PSA plays again, but this time it highlights the shooter showing signs, like him being bullied or him looking at guns online, etc. It then tells us that we need to notice the signs of shootings before they happen. Really holds the watcher accountable. FYI, the PSA is called “Evan” I believe

Speaking of Peta ads, One day while I was chilling on my computer watching memes, I got a black screen with some NIGHTMARE FUEL-type sounds coming out of my speakers. At the end of the PSA , it said: "Sometimes you can't unhear their screams." They probably took a clip of a screech owls because the PSA was about screech owls and animal testing. A few days ago, I asked my dad if that sound was demons in h3ll or an animal screaming. He said it was a screech owl. edit: its been 1 year why yall liking this still 😭😭

I remember wanting to see the worst, most disgusting PSAS ads to see how far the raddit hole goes, i stumbled across one psa, where a girl was getting SA by her father and she was crying and stuff and there was a baby montior where the mom would listen and she was crying because shewas hearing her daughter get assaulted, and she did nothing, and the message was 'if no one stoppe them who will?' it was the most DISTURBING PSA ever, i swear on you, i was 12 when I watched it, im turning 18 in a month, it scarred me so bad I stopped watcching psas because it lowkey traumatized me for life.
