Dehydrated creamy spaghetti for adventures!

Here is our Creamy Spaghetti recipe! We ate this on our walk from Mexico to Canada on the Continental Divide Trail in 2021. We liked it so much that we will bring it again on our upcoming Pacific Northwest Circuit -- 4 months and 2,700 miles by foot and canoe! #short

@@picklesandoxfordcommas well, First of all looks at them, the skin tone, the amount of muscle etc. then just see some of their video to realize she lost her period many times. Speaking about this video, all store bought vegetables, white sugar, canned stuff and low quality pasta. None are super healty, ( still good, but not pesticides free, etc) If cooked fresh, immagine dehydrating it. Can food, alredy processed then dehydrated? Sure very healthy! Of course depends on everyone standards.

@@CrowJoestar it does have some nice views, but so much of it is desert it almost starts to look the same after i while. I lived in moses lake for several years. Def nothing like Tacoma. I missed my mountain view, trees, and the smells youd get when it rained after being dry a few days. Love my state. Just wish we could get our crime homelessness and drug problem under control. I wont get into that tho, that's a whole other cup of tea lol .

Questions Will you have a back up or second way to get food incase something happens to the mailed food. Like it doesn’t come on time, goes to the wrong place, or water gets to the dehydrated food?

If you know what to look for, you can usually find enough food for a day or two. You might be a little hungry, but you don't need as much as you might think to stay alive, especially if it's only for a few days.

Oh, that's the question, I always have. I mean, they have small pasta, it will soak probably pretty fast. But if they cook it before, would they save gas from the stove while hiking?! 🤔 B/c they do the same with the rice.

Usually you ship them ahead of time (or have friends/ family ship them while you're out) to post offices or other businesses along your route. Most trails dip into or go near a town every handful of days. Towns that experience a lot of thru hiker traffic will usually have business like stores, restaurants, or hostels that will hold packages for you for a while.

send it through a shipping store to different shipping stores around the country that can hold it then you can pick it up from those shipping store

Yeah, along the big trails (PCT, CDT, AP,...) they are prepared for all the hikers and have extra rooms at the post offices, to store all the packages. And I think, there are kind of "provisionally" post offices along the trails.
