I actually like the new growth curve for the Deino, means that hunting small game, like frogs, is an actual thing now. And I like the feeling that being a baby croc is dangerous and fragile, like being a baby croc in today's world is like, where only a few survive to grow up. That means getting big feels really rewarding, and you get to be the weak one that needs to hide before being the big, bad river monster. I get where they are coming from with the water sounds, if that is indeed a way to try to give more counterplay against Deinos (or is it a bug? Sure is more splashing when entering water now too), but i feel it needs a bit tweaking before feeling good.

@@Rammbukk I agree! I had to really focus to make it all the way to 100% so it felt more rewarding. I did not see another big gator either, but I heard them once or twice. Means that its not that easy anymore

@@DefeatPete Haven't met another fully grown one myself yet, in fact not that many at all. I believe the devs said at one point they wanted to make growing big dinos, like Deino and Trex, difficult but rewarding, which i think ultimately will be a good thing. Can't wait to see how Deino will find it's place with an expanding roster and an evolving game! As always, great vid! 🐊❤ gg!

Oh yes! I still don't see how it happened. A grab, let go+bite has 100% of the times killed anything raptor/pachy sized. Now it somehow missed.. and missed again and then I don't know what! I was salty :p

I really hope the isle implements Elders into the game. Like after youve finished growing to adult, an updated bar shows up where theres and extra 15-20% of growth, where you can grow slightly larger + more powerful than an adult, but to fill it, it takes an extra full growth cycle of the dino in question. for example, deino which might take 6ish hours to grow from hatchling to adult, it would take another 6 hours to earn being an elder. For me, it sounds good on paper, but i could be very wrong

.. otherwise I don't have a very clear answer for you! It's not as easy to figure out as on the previous map. I mostly follow the migration zones and try to guess where people drink or follow any noise I might pick up on. Gl!

You get a few different versions of the game when you buy it! Go to stream, right click the game and click Properties. Next, click on Betas and choose "Evrima" in the drop down menu. There is currently also "horde testing" on if you want to test the upcoming version with a new dinosaur, the diabloceratops. Enjoy!

Yeah they need to fix the elite fish dying by itself and getting stuck all the time too, seems that they die only few minutes after they spawn, they also need to make easier to catch it, cuz is really hard sometimes, in general, to bite anything small in the game is hard, like to aim to a head.

I really wish the studio would just make a console version already. With FSR3.1 on Console they could lower internal resolution down to as low of 664p and upscale to high resolution just like Jedi Survivor did that game looks great with base 664p they could get The Isle running.

Is deino even worth playing right now ? The reason I ask is the bug that makes your swimming underwater loud asf above water and to other Dino’s. Like imagine spending 30 mins waiting to get someone drinking just to lose the kill due to them hearing you swim underwater.
