Little tip: As a baby croc you can run up on land and be safe from people who like to munch on fresh spawns. You have way more stamina on land, meaning they cannot chase you without risking running out of stam.

And the first 2 minutes of this video is why I don't enjoy playing Deino. I know they are cannibals but I just hate how hostile some crocs are to others. EDIT: Make that the first 4 minutes lol. Pete ends up doing it himself to another small croc. My point still stands

yeahhhh i'm not a fan of his playstyle/prey of choice lol but he's good at it, i'm just a big pacifist so i have a rough time whenever i try to play deino xD the videos are helpful but idk if i'll ever get used to going after baby crocs (unless they attack me first). i'm sure it gets much easier the longer you play.

I'm new to Evrima and honestly believed my underwater nightvision was bugged! Good to know it's not just me, it really just looks that awful by default lmao.

I believe it is bugged. Try turning on V-Sync or Anti-Aliasing and your night vision might be better looking but 10 times worse than before. Not sure which version of the night vision is the "correct" or intended one, but to have some players with the bugged super boosted night vision and others that can't see shit under water is pretty unbalanced.

I love it but for deinos is got kinda sucky. there is no more 1 or 2 safe water drinking spots or even 1 or 2 safe spots across. there are alot of safe places. Because of this your now forced to eat other deino bc u not gonna find other dinos at random anymore. or very little

Pete how do u get somuch good fps and quality. Before the update i had all epic graphics with 90-110 fps and now I have a few on epic and im struggling to get 30 fps.

Try going into your file explorer, typing %localappdata%, finding "Theisle" folder and removing the one called "Saved" from that! It will reset all your settings but could help

Nice, good to hear! Yeah, switching between branches mostly requires you to remove the "Saved" folder for best performance! I do it every once in a while

*There are some horrid glitches on some rivers when you're a Deino.* If you're heading south on the river from the Northeast Plains Lake, in areas, when you're on the surface, all hell breaks loose. Your Deino starts splashing and making a horrendous racket and then it starts to shudder and only by diving, can you stop it from continuing. And there seems to be a glitch when swimming below the water surface too on that river. Normally, if you hold _ALT_ and swim, you keep at the depth you pressed _ALT._ meaning you can swim below the surface and look around you. On that river, for some reason, holding _ALT_ doesn't work. _I digress..._ That being said, I wouldn't bother going down that river from below the waterfall and south. It's difficult to get below the waterfall. i.e. You have to slide down a rock on the west side and you will take damage. I was at some 25% and fractured my legs, so I don't know how a fully grown Deino would fair. But once down that rock and in the water, trying to get back into the river above that waterfall is one heck of a trek. You have to leave the river on the east bank. There is no west bank exit. That I've found that's near enough to the waterfall. Then head north to a wall. When you're next to the wall, you have to follow it east till you get to a large hole in that wall. Once through, keep heading east till it opens out i.e. There are walls on both sides of that road you were on. Turn left and then turn left through the gate and then head back to the river across the fields. Even on a full tank of water and you're fully hydrated, you will run out of water before you get back to the river.

How do you get such good frames in this game?? My PC is upper mid end and I cant get more than 30 frames which drops down to 4-8 during combat. I want to play this game so badly but its unplayable with those frames.

Weird. Hardware is very important but you also have the server side of things too Maybe the servers you play on aren’t great? My experience is pretty good. I usually get around 50fps average sometimes more sometimes less depending on how many people and bodies are in one area. In the end user experience will vary. You can google some tips. There are things people have done that have reportedly made a difference. At the end of the day you could potentially have the best PC available to build and you could still have the same issues because you are playing an unfinished game

Open file explorer > put %localappdata% in the ADDRESS bar, press enter, then find The Isle folder (the isle game should NOT be running) then > Save folder then > Delete Config > restart game

@@chrismitchell7090 Eh depends where it's happening. If it's in Water Access there's so much food from NPC fish you could sustain multiple full grown Deinos without problem. We had about 4 full grown and about 5 smaller ones there sharing fish. Basically you caught food, took it to the horde and anyone who was hungry ate. Smaller crocs were expected to eat smaller fish on their own too.

Play Gateway for a bit and you will. They're way more common on Gateway than Spiro because of the migration zone bs, there's not enough food around so crocs turn on each other instead.

How do you even find prey... I've come across one person trying to drink, and messed up the lunge. All my other times, it's been Deinos bigger than me/in a group. I survive purely off AI. I'll go near where migration is, wait for an hour, no one shows up. Change spots, no one shows up, change spots, no one shows up. And while I know these type of vids are editing out the downtime, you guys run into WAY more dinos than I do.

"run" at least they gave you a warning? xD lmao nooo not the bb :( they were friendly!! deinos are really at a disadvantage if they're solo. you died so quickly when those two ganged up on you in the beginning (you were a fresh spawn, but still), but once you got your partner in the game y'all got confident and started killing solo players lol. the solo deino existence is rough and lonely!! might be one of the reasons why i've never made it to adulthood before getting eaten. run baby run!!!!!!! yay it escaped i'm thinking the dead adult croc you found near the highlands lake probably almost made it to the water before dying of dehydration xD sucks aww why kill a little beipi that was just having fun when you're fg and not even hungry :( rip lil bep

Sounds like you are in the outdated "Legacy" branch of the game! I suggest you go into Steam, the games "properties" and click "betas". Click the drop down menu there and choose "Evrima" to download the latest version of the game 👍
