U guys always look to the past interests for current day trades and underestimate the value of a player already on the roster. The Lakers don't really need to make a trade. They made the WCF 2 years ago and last year endured bad coaching/injuries. They're still a top team in the conference and don't need much but a big if DLo resigns. Defense is also part of why we lost so much last year.

Dr Buss would of fired his ass and offered big💰to Presti/Myers/Connley Lakers offer (without Reaves) wasn’t close to what Pelicans offered. Dyson Daniels is a young high upside 2 way player especially defensively who was just drafted 8th in 2022 draft (still very young). 2025 draft one of the best drafts of the last decade! Nobody wants D-Lo (as we saw with him opting back in meaning he couldn’t even get 2 yrs 45 million from anyone), Rui 2024 playoffs were horrific and hurt his value making 18-19 mill per yr. Lakers 29/31 picks def have value. This wasn’t a lakers tax at all especially if they aren’t including Reaves. Once they got Kenecht especially they should have offered Reaves imo but they still may like Daniels upside more as a 2 way player. Nance is one of the best hustle and offensive rebounding guys too. Rob has objectively been horrid 2021-2024. Letting Caruso walk for no reason, getting rid of KCP, not hiring Ty Lue, not giving Dezrozan 3rd yr he wanted, not trading for Murray/Kyrie bc they didn’t want to give up AR has NOTHING to do with any “Laker tax” it’s all Pelinka/Jeanie incompetence PERIOD. Lakers roster 3-12 is one of the worst in the NBA. Now hopefully we can't find a good traditional center and maybe then they build something great again accidentally. 😂 Murray would have been terrible for us and D'Lo is actually excellent. D'Lo was never the problem to begin with. It was pairing him with Austin and having zero 2-way guards or forwards to play with him, LeBron and AD. If you are going to start and finish every important game playing small ball, you need Caruso, KCP, OGA, etc. and not guys like Reaves, Beasley, Beal or even Rui etc. That's why not only Ham but every NBA coach would have defaulted to Taurean Prince and Prince is unfortunately also a below average defender, but he was still the closest thing to a 2-way SF on this roster. And who was the only bench player that scored in the playoffs? Taurean Prince. I told you guys in ore-season that power forwards aren't wings. The last thing LA needs is a traditional big, to keep Rui and lose D'Lo then pairing Reaves and Rui with Murray, whi can't shoot and rated out as a worse defender than D'Lo with other bad defenders around him like D'Lo also had. It would have been the same but worse. If that trade worked, we would have had no ability to make anything but a small inconsequential trade. Thank God he is off the table. Now we can maybe focus on getting another wing like Knecht, but with defense and offense at the NBA starter level. There are some guys around that are 90% as good as Caruso. Get me two of those please. The bench Reaves and let him be the 6th man of the year. Once the other team is tired, push the pace, play Reaves and Vando and put them away. Wood and Hayes are completely fine for breaks for Davis. And Vando can back up LeBron and whoever starts at SF. If we get two actual wings (a wing means a swingman, someone who can swing between the SG and SF position) the other teams are in trouble. I am so happy to hear Murray is off the board. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Thank God the clueless Lakers Nation team doesn't get what they want for once. 4th is the bottom. We won the off season lol.
