He slowly turned Negima from a RomCom with magic to a battle manga that got hints of being really dark. And now he's got a sequel that he's going as adult as he's allowed to get away with.... With the romcom still added to it. I'm rooting for Horikoshi and Deku.

Stain acknowledges all might as a true hero who'll defeat him one day. I don't think stain will take weak all might as his advantage. It was also shown that stain wishes to speak to all might. stain hates this fake hero society but after hearing their conversation it is clear that deku is more desperate to save people rather than caring about himself. stain might take that into fact and who knows whether he'll help him?

I really don't think Stain will kill All Might. All Might has retired and is no longer acting as a hero. So Stain has nothing to be objective about. Or he will bow down to All Might and ask for death. Stain had respect for All Might as a TRUE hero. Only All Might was allowed to kill Stain. I really, highly doubt Stain will kill All Might. I think he will possibly join All Might and Deku. Because all the other heros are basically gone. They have been, in a way, culled from the pack. So Stain's dream has been realized. So he has nothing to fight for. Other than to rebuild hero society the way Stain believes it should be.

Holy crap, you're right: This IS Stain's dream coming true. The heroes lacking in conviction have been culled. Considering how dark and fucked up things are now, I wonder if this would make Stain reconsider his own ideals. A world with only true heroes is still a world with less heroes, and a world with less heroes is an invitation to true evil coming around to take over.

It was to strengthen society. With the world in shambles, and the only heroes still active risking their lives for basically no gain (society hates heroes now), stain will 100% be joining deku.

Man this was so sad. There has always been constant criticisms to Izuku's character throughout the entirety of BHA. The innocent kid that was full of hope is gone. I'm with AM, it's really sad....... but I love what Horikoshi has done to the story and Izuku in particular.

The deku we see now is regular deku. Deku didn;t undergo some brainwashing or dark form, THIS is the regular Deku. There’s nothing to snap back to, Deku is acting this way because of the reality of the situation, because Deku needs to step up as he cannot afford to make mistakes. If he went back to what he was before, then that is just bad writing.

To be honest, Deku being in the state that he is right now is kinda real - I mean being mentally and emotionally dragged down because of the current situation of the society adding to that, it's all up to him now to save it. Another thing, the major one - AFO is after him now and that will basically put the other people close to him in danger, which is currently All Might. The fact that Deku had a flashback is because of him being AFO's new target and that All Might is always with him then Sir Nighteye's visions, it should be the reason why Deku decided to leave All Might but it's kinda sad that Deku doesn't realize that not being with All Might side will put All Might in danger, how can you protect someone if you are not with them. About Stain killing All Might, I'm not really sure that he will since he somehow idolizes All Might as a "True Hero", the fact that he saved Deku back then from the Nomu shows how he also respected Deku as a "True Hero" which was also mentioned by one of the villains that attacked during the Tech Camp in Season 3. I've been watching non stop ever since Chap 317 was released or the leaks - I love to watch theories and actually the reunion of All Might and Deku inside OFA will probably one of the most heartbreaking moments if in case it happens. One last thing, I HOPE HE WILL SEE HIS FRIENDS BEFORE EVERYTHING IS TOO LATE FOR HIM - and hopefully Kacchan plays a major role for that. 🙏🙏🙏

I can't stop thinking about Horikoshi's sketch of Ochaco and Deku floating in the sky all bruised, he even commented that it's a nod to something that'll happen towards the end, all I was thinking was that they'll be together in the end, but reading the latest chapter I am sure that Ochaco and others from Class 1A will save Deku from himself, she'll have a major role in that because she wants to save other heroes and maybe she'll do that by saving him and getting injured, like Bakugo did back in the war arc.

I don't think Stain will kill All Might. He may confront him over his retirement, but I imagine it would be safe for All Might to talk about his injury and how it debilitated him at this point. It wouldn't matter if the world learned All Might received an injury that limited his career. He's retired. If anything, Stain visiting All Might might be the wake-up call needed to get Deku to re-evaluate his priorities: Instead of abandoning others for the sake of not luring bad guys towards them, he's better off protecting them on the scene.

@@Blaze101_ I think Stain might end up advising Deku to be honest. I do think it will cause a conflict between the two of them, but I don't think it will start a fight between them. After all, Stain knows Deku fits his criteria of a "true hero", so I don't think he would just end up killing Deku just because he sees how unheroic he's behaving. That's why I think Stain won't kill Deku. In fact, I think he's gonna help him defeat AFO and Shigaraki.

As I said in the usual place, reading a bit deeper there's a very sinister plan by AFO at play here, a deadly effective method to cut the legs right out before Midoriya can even properly "stand" on his own fully. *Spoiler* The monologue AFO gives in Vigilantes perfectly describes the plan in full. "What is a villain? [...] I believe that the concept should be defined by a particular relationship between a person's will and their quirk.[...] When an extreme and violent will stimulates a quirk into running amok, or on the flip-side, when an unruly quirk twists a person's will to it's own ends, that disparity creates a dangerous imbalance. ...As such, that sort of logical evil or enemy of society is shunned and scorned...as a villain." AFO is working to thwart the next threat before it can grow unstoppable, causing Midoriya to self-isolate from those who can help him, to let his own quirk rage stronger and stronger by throwing more cannon fodder of increasing strength at him, starting to tip the scales in a way to where Deku will either bow or break. And likely Stain is going to have to put some sense into an unbalanced pro hero in the making.

I think Stain will tell All Might he will search for Deku, giving All Might a ray of hope(Stain works better solo). After their talk, All might feels a little bit of relief and counts on stain. Stain takes off. All might remembers the time he told Deku that being a police officer that dropped off villains to heroes doorstep ain’t a bad occupation either. Now All mights doing what he told Deku, escorting the villain Deku just caught and in the process gets caught in another explosion(possibly by the villain that Deku just caught). We get a glimpse of what the pro heroes are doing and heroes like Endeavor, Bakugo and Gran Torino feel a sudden bad vibe. Then it fast forward several days and switch back to Stain searching for Deku and after finding him, licks his blade from the blood that Deku been dripping. Stain paralyzes Deku causing him to enter the vestige world only to be welcomed back home by All Might.

Black whip and Danger sense, both very similar to spider-man, Deku and All might as peter and ben, Deku and Shiggy like green goblin almost, so similar yet so different. And now it's already happening, i can see what hori is doing. It reminds me of the Amazing Spider-Man film, Peter runs away after Ben scolds him, and when Ben tries to find him he ends up getting shot and killed, the only person he has is to blame himself for that. Stain is gonna be a good guy. Hes a fan favorite who ended his last appearance by risking his life to save deku, after declaring all might was the only one who he'd let kill him. He's not gonna kill all might, he wont try and kill deku (he's apparently against killing him to the point that even his devoted followers know to leave deku alone, aka, spinner) he's here to be an unexpected ally. Just like vegeta became for goku. The hero society is in shambles, and those heroes still left are probably all considered true heroes to him. They're willingly still risking their lives despite the state of the world, and the outlook on heroes at the time, With a lot of heroes retiring. Ive been saying it since we saw stain get his sword, "hes going to join deku". Dekus lines of "good and evil" have undoubtedly been skewed. So joining with stain, who's goals are probably similar to deku's (since stain was never one for destruction, he just wanted a better, safer society) isnt just plausible, its likely.

*Let's talk about these 'false' deaths* So I can understand the criticism with false deaths in terms of Gran Torino and Lady Nagant.. but cmon. Did you really expect some of the final top heros left in society to fall for such a painfully obvious trap? They never even showed everyone physcially inside the mansion, just Deku and Endeavor. Back too Lady Nagant and Gran Torino, while I can see the arguments.. I end up completely disagreeing, we've only seen one death when someone has actually made it back to a hospital in MHA. (Nighteye, and even then his life was prolonged by a lot) Let's remember here we are in a super human society that is rapidly approaching a population wide singularity event where powers are just getting stronger and stronger. We've already been introduced to 2 characters that can literally reverse death, not just heal. So I think it is pretty safe to say there is likely some insanely gifted healers in this super society, and where would they be located...? More than likely at Central Hospital where all these people have actually managed to escape death. Like if people just have criticism of no real consequences, sure I can see the argument.. but I think its better writing this way if you consider this is a planet where 80% of the world has insane powers. There is likely a ton of very skilled and powerful healers.

Man what a sad scene that could be: Midoriya jumping across rooftops, sees a figure ahead and jumps closer. It’s AM, back in his strong form with his big smile. Midoriya is initialed shocked then elated and excitedly asks what happened and is AM somehow recovered and can fight again? But he trails off as the figure fades a bit and AM says: “Young Midoriya, tell your mother I’m sorry. I kept my promise as best I could….” Backing away, Deku stares in disbelief “All Might… no” The other vestiges show up to stand next to AM, Nana puts her hand on his shoulder as they smile at each other. Deku “NO. IM NOT READY. I CANT BE THE HERO THEY NEED ME TO BE YET” All Might smiling back at Deku: “Young man, you… have already become a Hero. To continue my previous comment, i could even see it going somewhat like this: All for one knows all about stain, and his admiration for all might. Hes probably sending villains after him, and being that all for one basically predicted everything, he probably knew stain was smart enough to know all might was a target. Hes probably been shadowing him to help him not die. Which will probably lead to all might getting killed by one of AFO henchmen and stain being blamed. Leading to a fight between deku and him. In which case, stain gets wrecked/killed. Afo reveals stain was innocent as a way of fucking up midoriya

I've got it. Stain just had his dream twisted. After seeing Deku and AM speak, he must know Deku has fully taken on both the powers and responsibilities of AM. If Stain still wishes to die to AM's power, he may now see Deku as his final goal. That makes weak AM nothing to him, and Deku will be the one he goes after to try and convince to kill him. The ensuing speech and fight could be the eye-opener Deku needs. As Stain tells him he is standing in for All Might as his opponent, Deku will realize he can't kill Stain, because AM wouldn't. THEN Stain will be angry, and may kill AM to goad Deku into killing him. It all seems sad right now, but once AM is a vestige, Deku will have him by his side for every fight. That could be pretty badass.

this arc is good but man it feels SO rushed, it just feels like everything is now done for a shock factor, here's my criticism of the series lately: Deku destroys his arms by going all out on shigiraki in the war arc but there's no consequences, in fact he somehow gets stronger. Lady nagant literally blows up from within but somehow survives. Deku is suddenly proficient with using multiple quirks when it took him months to get used to black whip Deku can now suddenly use 100% The hero's get blown up, next chapter glosses over it and no one is harmed we get no scene or any thoughts from endeavour after learning about all might's power, despite his whole character arc being about much he obsessed over surpassing all might The series just feels flat now, the deku scenes are badass but there's no substance to any of it, its just like "look deku is strong and very dark now" if this is really almost the end of the series I have to honest I am very disappointed

What if this goes like Cell vs Gohan... Izuku faces off against AFO, and after obliberating AFO, his OFA quirk ends up being stolen. At the end, Izuku sits there in disbelief. However, his friends and the remaining heroes stand up and use all of their power to damage the exhausted AFO. Finally, AFO thrashes all of them and tries to finish Deku but fails as All Might sacrifices himself to save our main character. Stain might just get out from the hospital and get to the battlefield in time, slashing AFO in the back. Izuku nearly falls unconcious, in front of him, he sees All Might with all the other successors of OFA. Izuku talks to All Might in his conciousness. Although OFA has been stolen, he can still see the souls lingering inside him... There's still some left. Deku then attempts to finish AFO with the last of his OFA- or whatever remains. AFO sees All Might's silouhette, and dies in regret.

No wonder that Deku is changing so much. "Danger Sense" on its own is bad enough, as it senses danger all the time and everywhere. Deku has to learn again that he can trust others and doesn't have to bear this burden alone. But he will blame himself for every loss, since he cannot be everywhere in time, even if he has helped 5 out of 10 people. Then there is the fact that he has to suppress / control his emotions because of "Black Whip", even though "All for One" humiliates him. Not to forget the physical strain caused by the other quirks. I think "All for One" knows that Deku can easily defeat all assassins, he just wants to push him to his limits by getting Deku to make immoral decisions. For example, by putting Nagant on him and then blowing her up. "You're Next" was a smart move by "All for One", because now Deku is paranoid and doesn't want anyone around him. He is the target. Also that he said, "He is no longer interested in Allmight" is probably a lie, it is only supposed to give Deku the assurance that he is not pursuing Allmight. I believe he will kill Allmight and create a situation where Deku feels responsible for Allmight's death so that he will break under guilt.

Honestly the cut to explosion scene is the easiest way to tell no one died. Scenes like this have been in anime/manga a lot. Unless you see a body or witness the explosion hitting a person it's taking just falling for easy bait. Especially since earlier we witnessed people die. Midnight sorta got off screened but got her final moments. But yeah a cut to a sudden big blast, especially with MC there is the easiest sign that they didn't die

In Stain's weird perception killing All Might could be the final challenge to prove if Deku's worth as a real hero. If he reacts like Iida when he injured his brother then he will be perceived as an unworthy hero that is only moved by feelings. Great chapter, I also loved how All Might started to realize how much pressure Deku has gotten throughout time. He is the symbol of peace and as such he must not falter, he cannot sleep or stop, just like AM that risked his own life to protect that symbol.

This isn't necessarily the final arc, its one of multiple story arcs that make up the final act of MHA. But, I do agree that id like to see a big time skip and see the UA students as young adults and fully fledged heroes. More room for character development and world building. The issue is once Deku defeats AFO, OFA most likely will disappear with AFO. Leaving Deku quirkless again and his journey to becoming the best hero ever completed. Kind of a poetic way to end the atory, but would suck for fans hoping for Dekus hero career to continue. At least we'd get to see Bakugo become the #1 hero after Midoriya retires.

I feel so bad for Deku. I love his character development since the beginning of this arc and all, but to see Deku having to leave UA because he doesn't want his friends to be in danger and having to stop Shigaraki and All For One is just saddening in my opinion. What's even sadder is that Deku is only 16, and he already have to deal with all of this mess. I do understand that Deku wanted to be a hero, and being a hero can get you into extreme situations such as what's happening right now, but I still find it sad that Deku has to go through all these. I could see Stain thinking All Might losing his power is a disgrace, and killing him would allow him to preserve his legacy sort of thing. Given how much Horikoshi is known to love Spiderman, giving Izuku this sort of Uncle Ben moment with All Might and Stain to me clearly is meant to bring Deku's ideals to the forefront as they are being challenged more than ever. If Stain kills All Might, Deku figuring out how to forgive or save him could either harden him for what could happen later with Shigaraki. So far it has been too easy for Deku. He gave Muscular the option, he didn't take it, Nagant did; now its time for someone who isn't going to change their mind to face him.
