I’ve read the book about the series and read that Jason was sure he wanted to move on to different projects but when he got on set to film this last episode the emotions overwhelmed him and he was sure it was meant to be to stay. So the emotions in these scenes are very real….

To be fair, it was for the best that David Jason didn't leave the show. I like Mickey Pierce, but Del and Rodney are the heart and soul of the show

Comedy, this is the ultimate in laughs and fun. They just don't really come any better, still ties me up in stitches now, have them all on DVD. A blu ray box set hope they bring out next. Lovely jumbley.

Im obviously glad David didnt leave the show, but an episode or two of them in Australia would have been good, like the 'Miami Twice' American episodes.

they should of done this towards the end of the series after winning all the money del should of moved abroad while rodney was happy with his wife and new child personally i found the show went abit down hill after they met the girls but rodney couldn't be left on his own so he should of still ended up with cassandra but del went to australia after their baby was born
