Google Barbara Lerner Spectre No I’m not an anti- indigenous English nor do I despise or discriminate white people and I cant comprehend why you have a toxic self- hatred of white democrats. wanderer1955 you’re just a hater. If there were a thousand sitcoms that were so much better why are you watching this video and why is OFAH still one of the most popular british sitcoms ever? It’s got a huge following abroad too. It was literally deemed the greatest british sitcom ever by a panel. Only Black Adder and fawlty towers came close on the list. Anyway: why are you hating, mate? OFAH is still loved and venerated today. It’s got a major following in britain and abroad as well. None of the others that you mentioned really have that. It’s still considered to be one of the greatest sitcoms by virtually all the lists that rank the greatest sitcoms. Stop being a cunt

Early in this, Rodders stands with his mouth agape as if he has spotted a Picasso or a Matisse hanging on the pub wall. His antennae must have picked up some kind of Continental cool, Continental class, emanating from the nice-looking young lady in distress: an exoticism quite unrealised by our Rodney, and completely unexpected in their local pub.

@@jundean5292 Scratch around a little bit. Start with Googling the hand grenade problem they've got. It's becoming a bit of a war zone. There's nothing racist about pointing out facts.

@@VladimirDKomarov thank god we have you to be the moral arbitor, you truely are the peak of morality denying the slaughter of innocents, the raping and grooming of children, the terror attacks and the crime on innocent men, women and children in order to appear politically correct on the internet. I'm sure the 12 year old girls across Europe experiencing the reality of grooming gangs, the raping, the drugging, the mutilation and the forced prostitution aka literal hell on Earth, are singing your praise across the continent and isles. Three cheers for this manifestation of goodness itself! Hurrah, hurrah hurrah!

I'm assuming that Hoffman was the Swedish Woman! The best looking woman to appear in OFAH is the girl who Del thinks is his daughter!

If Lennard Pearce was still alive, could Grandad have matched the same level of hilarity like Albert did in this scene? This episode From Prussia With Love in particular was originally written as the series 4 finale which featured Grandad, but became the series 5 opener instead. Lennard Pearce passed away shortly after filming of series 4 commenced, therefore John Sullivan hastily wrote two extra episodes Happy Returns (as a filler) and Strained Relations in which Grandad dies and Uncle Albert arrives. This left 8 episodes in total for that actual series, however BBC1 was only allowed to broadcast a maximum of 6 or 7 episodes for a single series, so From Prussia With Love was put on hold.

Grew up watching this as my dad was a huge fan. Never realised as a child that as far as comedy goes, this is the absolute best. A few other programmes were funny don’t get me wrong, particularly one foot in the grave and father Ted, but nothing compares to this. And they definitely don’t make them like this anymore. This was just good old inoffensive comedy. No doubt if it were brought out today someone would find it offensive in some way. Comedy will never be funny like it used to be
