Oh man , where to start? obviously i was going to give you a load of old tosh about doing a "caff" but then the busa appeared ...what can I say ? well nothing negative because i did the exact same to my 1200 daytona ( ok not caff more tracker) but yes exactly the same feel ..take a huge great bastard and build something off the wall and totally wrong for it ..but completley right at the same time..and at the end riding a naked mental beast has its grin factor ..this is going to be fun....peas and loaf brother peas and loaf.😁☮❤ ps...millennium falcon..

Saw that dog of a bike on fleabay. Thought the second ignition lock sounded a bit iffy. Could have been fixed for £48. No brainer. Perhaps Caffbusa may be a little more PC... Going to be a stonking build.

Yes indeed.. the OEM kit comes with a rear seat lock barrel, and costs £374.95.. this Wemoto kit has just tge two main items for £48... they also do a seat lock for a tenner..!

Watched the whole series, some interesting changes and lots of good looking metal bashing. Can't believe the 'caff racing mob' whined like old women about you were breaking the rules on what can and can't be a cafe racer. I remember when I was a boy all sorts of 'sheds' did the Ace and North Circular run as part of the 'cafe crowd', it's one of the reasons I've never joined a bike club, too many 'rules'. A busa was definitely gonna be one of the meanest, quickest bases for any sort of build and what a lot of people don't realise if you set them up properly they really can be chucked about, knee down was never a problem, just needed to be aware of the weight steaming into the twisties. Catching up on all the build series. Speak to you again when I've finished the next one 🤟👍👍

@@Moonfleet41 I'm not a busa fan nor im saying thats gonna be worth milions in the future or whatever, thats just my opinion considering its the first gen without the limiter and its a freakin fast machine why destroy it like that making it slower, handling worse without fairings etc.. like i said its just my opinion, maybe many ppl think the same or not but wont comment, do whatever u want with it man. dont get upset just bcause not everyone shares your taste in modding bikes. also 70' bikes are slow af, not talking money destroying value or whatevr, this was the fastest bike on the road in its day

@@ChRiS00107 Now in that we agree.. it was indeed the fastest production bike ever, and i think it will stay that way now the legislation has castrated the factories for so long.. but with the H2 etc.. those records never last for ever.... Point is, as quick as these are, none of us will ever ride a bike like this to even half its capability, i won't be destroying anything ill ever get to enjoy thats for sure.. and for what its worth, i will be fitting a fairing, and keeping the clip-ons too.. not gonna change the running gear either so maybe ill end up with a fun bike to ride ... No project is fun if its doesn't challenge you, and if its a bit daft, then thats gonne be a unique bike to play on at the end aye... thanks for your engagement buddy.. Del.

Interesting, always though the ignition barrels would have security screws that would break its head off after aplied them.. my cbr 600 F2 have those...had to drill the screws head to take it off

you need to modify the tank, to make it look like a café racer, narrow it down, and take the to bulbos are between the leg indents and the top of the tank, possibly inline with the Suzuki decals, just a thought

I've never had an issue snapping the inside post off and using a regular torx bit or even allen keys... but yeah, I am still glad I invested in a full security torx bit set!

Yeah Del, tamper-proof Torq bits are a pain to deal with sometimes. Luckily, when I bought mine from Cornwell Tools here in the States mine came in a big 100 piece kits with Imperial and Metric allens - shorts and long shanks, torqs, tamper-proofs torqs, and inverted torqs. The kit was $300 bucks give or take. Got all that for practically $3 a bit. Best investment in tools I ever made!

Thanks RatCuz, its going to be so much fun back on the dark side.. the bike is a real sad old shed, and even worse under the skin.. so perfect for what i need.... got a lot of consumable stuff to work my way through likje wheel bearings, suspension and swing arm bearings, rebuilding all the brakes, and of course the usual servicing fluids etc... then i can take it Wasteland stylee...! muah ha ha..!
