Would backing up thee iPad in any way replace or interfere with iPhone backup? It makes me nervous to back it up to same Apple ID...

Nope not at all they are stored separately. They do take up some iCloud storage space. So keep that in mind if your plan gets too full.

Okay so if I’m in a hurry I can just click reset in general setting and it deletes my pictures messages n apps right ? Instead of me going to my Apple I.D signing out

The reset button will also sign you out of iCloud. But sometimes if you connection isn’t the best it can fail which is why I recommend doing them in 2 separate steps.

When I try to erase the data it asks me for a code I don’t know or have? It’s been years how do I bypass that?

Is there any more info it gives you than code. It could be a 2 factor authentication code or a screen time code. Or maybe something else I’m not thinking about. 2factor should be solvable if you have another Apple device that’s logged into the same iCloud account. That code should pop up on it screen time if you go into settings app and then screen time there is a place in there to try and turn it off. Sometimes you can use your iCloud account info to turn it off.
