Oh my gosh. I went to a lyric video of Cold as You (track five as you mentioned) and there's a lyric at the end that says "and I know you wouldn't tell nobody if I died, died for you" and in LWYMMD she says that the old Taylor can't come to the phone because she's DEAD! Dead for Joe?? Hmmm... And also in the same song it says something like "what a perfect rainy end to a perfect day" that's not word for word, but that's basically what it said, and in the Delicate video it's raining!! Ok I'm gonna go research more track 5 songs now. I just love how Taylor puts a freaking treasure hunt in her songs and videos, like how on earth does she think of all these references?!?! I absolutely love her!

I think the fighting scene was about people from all types of platforms talking about or fighting over Taylor's character as portrayed by their respective platforms. E.g. the media portrays her as someone sick and manipulative but the fans would battle head to head for her. When the war was raging on, nobody's heard from her for months because she was just doing better than she ever was. When she was away from the lenses, there were a lot of theories of what could have been happening to her to the point that some of the Swifties started to think negative things too. Some were even arguing over twitter. It was just chaotic even when she was invisible. This is just my pov. :) Still love your look.

I think you're so right. In the beginning to me she did look so unhappy but she also looked lonely even though she was surrounded by people. Maybe because the people she was surrounded by didn't really get her. But Joe and we (the fans) do get her and that's why the only times she looked genuinely happy was when she saw him and she was with those girls. I also think that fight scene is interesting. Maybe she's trying to say she's fed up of being in the middle of all these rumours and fights and she just wants to shake it off. Because that what she does before the gorilla move. She shimmy's and shakes. Kind of like a reference to shake it off. So maybe that's what she trying to tell us that she's done with the public fights. For example with Katy Perry and Kim and Kanye. She's done with that she wants to be happy and leave that behind. I'm so happy Taylor saw your video. I hope you have fun seeing her live, I'm so jealous but so happy for you. Lauren, I promised some thoughts on TSL. So here goes… So glad you see that that the Kenzo as is different than the Delicate Music Video. As for the three women arguing…. In order to frame the shot and reinforce that taylor is invisible, she has to move/dance between people who are interacting with each other. The three girls in the ladies’ room were having friendly chat. So, the three girls in the lobby need to do something different. Arguing means they are engaged with each other & should have seen Taylor dancing between them. As a bonus, she did have to move past a lot of negativity since her last album. She dropped off the radar in both the media and social media. She became invisible. That’s how she got past the negativity. Like dancing to her own tune while the argument carried on without her.

About someone seeing you for your reputation and not who you are. In the video the only ones she's genually happy to be around ( until the ending scene) is her fans who sees " her for her". In the video no-one can see her when she's being herself. The idea on the song and the idea in the video are very consistent if you really look into it as a " visual representation of the song" in her visual album which was her goal

Lauren, I love your decoding! I've been going back and watching your reaction then decoding. I have to say you don't miss much! The only thing I would add is comparing the first frame with the last. The lighting: so muted as in Taylor having to contain herself to the media...the image of perfection. The lighting in the bar: brilliant lighting from the back of her head, almost resembling a halo! The lights show how messed up her hair is, not perfect! But of course, the biggest difference is the look in her eyes. On the red carpet, her eyes are sad, almost haunted in a way...empty. But when she sees, Joe, we're assuming, her eyes are full of joy. Her whole demeanor changes. She doesn't care people are staring. She doesn't care if she looks less than perfect. She. Is. Happy.

Yay, I was so excited for your decoding of this video! I think that the fight between the two girls just represents girl drama in general that Taylor has had to deal with. When she is invisible, she literally goes under the drama, unseen, and stays out of it. 🤷‍♀️ Oh, and I completely think the rain scene is paying homage to “Singing In The Rain” as well as “Fearless.” There are so many references to her old albums. Like the “call it what you want’ and “love story” connection. I think Taylor is trying to show how much she has grown and learned about love over the years, and she’s doing this by subtle references to old songs and albums. A video in which you analyze these would be awesome! Love your channel! 😊
