If you love the Pacific Northwest but don’t like the rain, come to Sequim! 16” of rain a year we are in the rain shadow and have 300 days of sunshine a year! Located on the Olympic Peninsula you can get your Dungeness Crab (not to mention salmon and trout, etc) and have the Olympic Mountains to find your mushrooms. Check it out!

Yeah, those really looked like fragments of lobster mushroom. The big one you found later was amazing. Pickled witch's butter can be pretty good, like pickled wood ears.The shattered white mushroom was in the Lactarius genus (dubious edibility).

I've lived in WA state all my life and there is no more beautiful place on earth. Where you are camping and hiking is a natural rain forest. Yet only 4 hours drive to the east an you are in a high desert plateau with thousands of lakes and rivers. You can fish for salmon in a river that's in a busy suburban mall area. Absolutely AMAZING!

Born and raised Oregon. Pacific northwest👍👍🤘🤘 rain can get old though. Went to Japan 2019 with my daughter in September. Absolutely beautiful!!!! Despite the typhoons. Rained every day but the last lol. And yes my daughter and eat natto regularly now after our visit! Still can't get the wife and son on board🤣

Love the foraging and then preparation. That is how I first found your channel, you two were foraging for salad greens and then tide pool delicacies. Fishing would have been choice in those river scenes but I loved the drone footage just the same. Thank you both for the adventures.
