at some sites you can have fires in the summer in California....you just have to put them out with buckets of water when you go to bed. I know of two I did last year...one at Caspar and one at Golden Pines.

You can use salted Luke warm water to remove the membrane from fish eggs...you yield a lot more of the individual eggs when you do...let it soak in the salted water for about 10 min...you brine and clean at the same time...

We have the same tires on our Chevy Z71! She's a 2000 extended cab. She's our family's beach truck. We take to Assateague, MD/VA from spring to fall. Very good tire. My work truck has more expensive tires (ill keep brand out). I like our beach truck BF G A/T for more. Quieter on hwy. I don't get as many rocks stuck in treads. Etc

take a few sticks and carve the ends down untill they fit into the holes on one side of your fire pit. use them to create a platform to build your fire on and light from below. Tea candles make great fire starting tools that are super cheap. You can also take cardboard and cut it into a strip and coil it into a small tuna can or tea candle cup, pour melted wax over it and use that as your consumable fire starter. To use a tea candle, place at the base and build your fire base over it, light the candle and sit back. Cotton balls with vasoline massaged in placed in a zip lock bag make great emergency fire lighters too.
