@@belldrop7365dubbing doesn't always have to translate word for word. The purpose is to give the viewer the same experience and message across and "the hell?" works so well.

@@pimpin3603 Less the same experience and just force fitting a culture with the associated language. You don't really hear "that's rude!" in english as much as "wtf!". The title of this show is a great reference for this too. The same "experience" would be Dungeon Meals/Foods, but because english culture wants a DnD reference, changed it into a string of english words that sounds like it's missing a word or two, Delicious in Dungeon. Tbf, that's not only in english. Just the quirk of cultural -rewrites- localizations general.

I 'm using web translation. Please forgive the inadequate explanation. "Manzai" is a common Japanese stage performance, a type of stand-up comedy. It is usually performed by a duo, with one person in charge of telling jokes and the other person in charge of correcting them. Each of them has two names: "Boke" and "Thukkomi". When the "Thukkomi" player points out the ridiculousness or inconsistency of a joke told by the "Boke" player, the "Thukkomi" player lightly taps the "Boke" player with the back of the hand. This is a stylized style and a joke culture that many Japanese people understand. It is especially evident in the Kansai region, especially Osaka. The pose when Marcille is petrified is exactly the stylized pose of the "Tsukkomi" role. Her Japanese line at that time, "~jya nain ka!" is also a quotation of a stylized line peculiar to manzai. It is very elaborate 😉
