Joe, I made this last night and my 2 picky eaters, my sons, loved it! I loved how my house smelled even till the morning. I did not grow up with a mother that cooked a lot, so I have always been a little intimidated with cooking anything. Now I'm married to an American Italian, so I have slowly learned to get over that intimidation, with your help! With your step by step instructions, you make cooking easy and fun. My youngest, 11 years old, thankfully, LOVES to cook. He helped me prepare this dish. Such a great bonding moment for the 2 of us. Something I never experienced as a child. All I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you! I will continue to make your delicious dishes. And I plan on ordering your olive oil. Can't wait to cook with it!!

Good man. Cooking is all about love, giving, and caring. Even if you don't see who cooked it, I believe love can be transferred in a dish.

I LOVE Your cooking show Joe!!! Your style of cooking reminds me of my mother. My mom was first generation born in the US. If you know anyone with the Puccio family name they are my relative's. I think I have watched all your videos, and it sure dose take me back to the time my mother was alive, and in the kitchen with my sister, and I.......LOL.........she never cooked with a recipe, she just cooked like her parents did, by sight, and taste. I pinch or two of this, and that :) I can't wait to order some of your Olive Oil I grew up using it like Americans use butter! Keep those videos coming! God Bless you & yours, Sandy

This is the bestest and simplest way to make this, and if you are short of any ingredients, it's wine and rosemary that gives it the flavor improvise, I have made this saki or even $6 wine from the dollar store. It's OK with dessert sweet Marsala, but really make this with the dry. This works great on a pan fried, tenderised and marinated cheap steak too. Steakums!!! Canned mushrooms work too. After you make this a couple of times watch the Ramsay destroy his.

I just got done making it for dinner a couple hours ago. It turned out wonderful. Silly question, why don't you put the mushrooms in with the onions & garlic. I followed your way to a tee, except I used shallots. I would have put the mushrooms in with the shallots & garlic, BUT I did it your way, and they softened up, and reduced just fine. Delicious Joe!!!! :-)

Love your cooking videos! What would you serve with this: pasta, polenta, broccollini! Any suggestions?
@Cookingitalianwithjoe8 жыл бұрын
Sure and yes, all sound great. Use a little more of the stock, maybe two cups and a bit extra of everything else so you have some extra sauce for the pasta or whatever starch you want to use. Thank you for watching and subscribing. Ciao, Joe.

Is there a printable version of your recipe Joe? Thanks! Also, how many minutes each side of flour coated veal? How high is oven to keep veal warm? Will dried herbs work as well? Often times herbs like fresh thmye and rosemary get gritty, even in a dish like this.

Can I do this without the wine?
@_majortom_4 жыл бұрын
No. But don't be afraid to use good wine for coocking if you don't drink or can't have alcohol. Alcohol evaporates very quickly and none is left on the plate. Just the sweet magic taste of grapes you can not get otherwise.

The word Marsala comes from Arabic "Mirsa Ilahi", meaning "port of God", and the rumor has it that this dish was developed by French chefs from the southern parts of France that were employed in the houses of Sicilian nobility.

Love it! This is Wiki and the history posted there. Love the meaning of the word! Thank you for that. Chicken marsala is an Italian-American dish made from chicken cutlets, mushrooms, and Marsala wine. The dish dates back to the 19th century, when it most likely originated with English families who lived in western Sicily, where Marsala wine is produced. Thank you for subscribing and watching. Ciao, Joe.
