Thank you for sharing this. It is interesting, although I prefer to have utilities that run locally. If you know of such utilities, I would appreciate you sharing them. I'm a surface-water hydrologist and started using QGIS just a few months ago. It is a very useful tool and I am enjoying learning my way around it.

Hi specialist, can you provide a better and easier method to delineate catchment areas for roadside drainage, let say I have a road being constructed and I want to know the catchment area contributing to the flow to the side drains which are normally located on the sides of the roads.

Many of the stream and catchment delineation procedures in QGIS or Python are scale independent and can be used for your case. It depends on the detail of your DTM/DSM, computing power and size of the area. Wow. this is even easier than HEC-HMS. So, it will show every small channel on the uploaded DEM? Or can we set so that it only shows main and tributary rivers only?

The app uses PySheds in the backend. Probably you can make an app like this. Maybe check with Hatari Labs.

You can upload your own DEM. In the first example I've used SRTM 1-Arc Second. Indeed global data. You can download it with the OpenTopography DEM Downloader plugin: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e37agYdtqaZ1ecksi=tUe8-XHPzBeAwUq1

Too bad the online tool only accepts DEM files up to 15 MB! None of my files are that small.
