I know how you feel. I've had more shipments this month than previous months, but I do know the feeling of waiting to have some come in.

This was though to watch. Keep your head up Winston. Sometimes the right decision is the hardest one to make. Don’t let that hold you back from doing what’s best for you and your family ❤️

Hey Winston, you're a hard working guy, there is no doubt from your viewers here and we try and support you. I think for the money you get from Uber eats, your time would be better spent sending ads/flyers about your store and your services to let's say 16 businesses a day and by the end of the week, you'll have canvassed about 100 businesses nearby that hopefully didn't realize you were here and start bringing in business your way. I just think that would be time better spent and you'd get repeat customers from all of those businesses and your mailbox store would start to grow exponentially! Just some advice here. Thanks, Brian

Thanks, Brian! You’re right, handing out flyers to local businesses could really help grow the store. I did the Uber Eats run to show what a slow day looks like, but your idea makes a lot of sense. I appreciate the support and advice!

Traditionally it takes 18 months OR your second Christmas to be profitable. We opened November 2023, so this is our 2nd Christmas. I'm working on my books now for end of year stuff. I think because of this months stellar holiday sales (3-4X normal sales), I broke even for our 1st full year in business. May & June of this year I barely made enough to cover rent. I went into this December $7k in the hole. It is hard being alone in the store and not making money.

not including paying yourself? We need to make enough to cover the rent, and our salary first, the rest is profit. It is hard.

Very frustrating when we put all our effort to a dream and it takes long to see a return. Also uber is awful lately I can’t deal with them. Praying things will pick up at your business, just keep pushing forward friend🙏

Winston it’s hard to gauge how the months will be until you have been trading for a year or two. It also takes quite some time for people to know you’re there, l have had stores and after trading them for many years, some people still don’t know we were there even with advertising. Have a Merry Christmas to you and your family and wishing you a successful 2025. 😊

After 8 months for working for Uber Eats they deactivated my account because they said merchants give me low ratings and I can't imagine what merchants had anything to say about me I was very professional all the time and they don't tell me what the complaints were about either and I wish I would have just kept doing doordash in the beginning do a dash is so much better they pay you everything if something gets canceled they give you half the money and they will order gets canceled on the way you they pay you the full refund the tips come in faster I mean it's just so much better I love doing dash

I’m a new store in Chandler Arizona. It’s just me. My husband is helping for holiday busy days. I had shipments everyday last week but didn’t hit my minimum so I shipped my Christmas gifts to make my minimum. I am going to push for mailbox rental or virtual. Shipping is not what it was once was.
