Hi How are you doing? There are practical steps you need to take to stay pure and holy in mind and body. See you need to spend time reading and studying the Bible. God has removed my addiction but not the temptation. He uses it to show me my utter dependence on Him. Once I let go, He asked me to do everything I could to bolster my sobriety. I joined SA, saw a therapist, worked Steps. attended conferences and conventions, got a sponsor. Sobriety and recovery comes first, everything else after. God was always there. I had to free my soul enough to receive Him.

I have also struggled with this for 32 years. But one thing we must know is that Jesus overcomes the world. Jesus will set you free if you are willing. We must crucify our flesh everyday by praying and fasting. Fasting is one way to be able to get rid of this sin. You cannot overcome sin without these weapons. Praying and fasting and surrendering your life to Jesus. The path of heaven is very narrow. We must fix our eyes on Jesus. Fear God. Ask him to change your heart so that you will obey him completely. We must live a life of prayer and fasting. No one could overcome the flesh if you are disconnect with Jesus. The bible says: the flesh is weak. But Jesus taught us how to be able to get rid of any type of sins, we must pray and pray. Never stop praying. Jesus will deliver you. Believe in Jesus, trust in Jesus. He is the way the truth and the life. He can deliver you from your sin if you are willing. If you want to go to heaven, you must pay the price, by obeying the words of God, pray and pray and live a life of fasting. It's very clear in the bible that going to heaven is very narrow.

Sounds like a works/law mentality. What an great testimony. So glad he shared this. Being the person on the receiving end of all the lies and deceit, how do spouses handle this? My spouse of 19 years just came out in the open to me about a pornography addiction he has had since before we were married and I never knew. On top of this he has lied about having an emotional and lust affair with a co-worker. My heart is shattered and broken and I want to walk away and leave but I feel in my heart it’s not the right thing to do, but my mind tells me to leave. It’s been years of lies, and now an emotional affair with a co-worker he thought was cute. Not ugly. He liked her and thoughts of sex with her and now I know has enjoyed viewing pic of her, if you know what I mean. I’m shattered and heart broken and want to walk away from this marriage but I don’t know if I am doing the right thing. 😢

I think that you need to born again, I mean really to experience it. Not just repent, you need to born from water and Spirit. It's really important that you read Romans 6, 7 and 8 (all straight) and see the progression how to achieve and experience that freedom. Don't worry, it's not by your effort, it's all about Jesus works and trough faith you will receive that freedom in a real way

Lifelong struggle....strong conversion at 20 but lust eventually caused me to end up back in gross sexual addiction for many years. I've been trying to get back to Jesus for 20 years now, I can't seem to get passed the condemnation and I don't know what to do....I'm 55 now, my life and soul are in jeopardy....I am so isolated even though I go to a grace filled church every week. I'm constantly tormented from turning my back on God....from the horrible things I did all those years....please help me somehow....thank you and God bless you for your testimony. You may still watch porn, the devil may accuse you, but you are a Saint in God's tribunal, Jesus is your advocate whether you watch porn or not. Try to discipline your body, guard your eye if you think it will lead you into sin, pray, fast, exercise, physical exercise has a tremendous power in disciplining your body and eat healthy, sometimes overeating or eating unhealthy and tasty food arouses our sex appetites.

Once you have surrendered your life and everything to Jesus, just start talking to Him like a friend about anything and everything. You start by going to a quiet place every day and devoting one hour to talking to Him. He loves this! A lot of times people just go to God only when they are in need. God desires an ongoing friendship with Him. With time He will become more real to you. Having that intimate relationship and fellowship with Him is the best and most fulfilling thing ever! Many sinful and fleshly desires will begin to leave once you have that relationship with Him. Also, read the Bible daily. Having the Word of God inside you will cleanse you from those desires. It will cleanse you from the inside. Trust me, it works! Just be consistent my friend. I love you with The Love of Christ. ❤️

The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." To answer your question though, I still have much to learn about the origins of the different Bibles. Even though there are discrepancies between different interpretations, I believe the most important thing is that we have a relationship with Jesus and that the Bible we read includes fundamental truths such as Jesus Christ claiming to be the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and that He is our only access to God the Father. As Jesus said to the religious teachers in John‬ ‭5:39‭-‬40‬ "You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life." I believe God has grace for his children in how they understand his written word.

When you look at it this way, he was addicted to pornography for forty years, but has been clean of it for twenty years, let's say if he was probably only fifteen when he got addicted, that would make him possibly 75 now! Or say if he was sixteen when he got addicted, that would mean he was addicted until he was 56, being forty years, but he conquered his addiction and for the past twenty years has been born again, that would make him like 76 years old! I'm going to say this and I'm not saying this in defense of drugs and porn and worldly things but I was in a relationship one time with a woman that was very wishy-washy and never could get her to make solid plans together she always had excuses and not committing to being with each other and spending time together it was always a let down.... So what I ended up doing was from all the hurting and neglect that I was feeling I drowned myself in drugs and alcohol gambling and when I would come home at the end of the night I would turn to pornography just to get my mind something to feel like I was getting fulfillment... If my relationship would have been better and she would have kept her word and we could have spent more time together I wouldn't have had those problems nowhere near as bad... That's my testimony
