I watched the original french version of this film called "Starbuck" and it was absolutely incredible. Haven't seen this yet but i'm sure it is good too. Vince Vaughn shouldn't disappoint.

They're both good. They basically just redo the french Canadian version word for word translated into english. There is almost no difference other than that they changed the sport he and his son played is basketball in the American version and not soccer.

No, the doctors who carry out the insemination or what ever it is called knw the name of the donor, it is their job to make sure that the donor and the the recipient arent related

you know it's like a battle arena game logic. everybody loves the role of assassins and fighters and marksmen and mages and even a tank, but sometimes the best thing to be is a support. not only in games do you need somebody like that but in life too and sometimes there's a happy in knowing that you are doing something good for other people and that's okay.

I thought the storyline of the film of a guy whose sperm was used by fertility company to sire 533 children was comidec, ridiculous and far-fetched. However, the main character of the film changed my mind. It's a story of someone who had no care in the world, who rapidly became a humanitarian DAD in doing the right thing in supporting his 533 children. The lengths he took to do it was amazing, whilst trying to find himself and win the woman that he loves. How many parents would have gone above and beyond for their kids in all and unusual circumstances? Anyone can be a father or mother. But actually being active as a Mum or Dad........takes love, guts, tenacity, support, charity, understanding, nurturing etc., now that's being a real parent. I really loved this film. Y'all should watch it.😀😀😀

God I love this movie, lol. This just gets me in the feels man, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy in my tum-tum. It's original, heart warming, funny, emotional... it's a familyfilm or a film just to watch by yourself or with your significant other and just cuddle up under a blanket with a nice cold beer. I've seen this movie countless times and never have I gotten tired of it. It's great man! Sincere acting with a wonderful, original, really touching story! Watch it, fall in love with it and have a great time!

Of course, this wouldn't happen in real-life. In real-life, the guy who fathered the most children through sperm donation(in America anyway) is Michael Rubino and he only fathered 24 children. Plus, there's a limit to how much and how many times you can donate sperm. When my girlfriend and I saw this movie, she mentioned to me what if any of these 533 kids met each other and wanted to get into a serious relationship without knowing they're brother and sister? Another reason why they don't let you donate a lot of sperm.

This has happened in real life. Have you ever seen the documentary our father? so far it’s in the 300s that that man has gotten children for but it could be way more. He was the owner of a fertility clinic and use his own sperm in place of the sperm. Everybody wanted the only reason people found out is because of the type of test that 23 and me do.

Hi Ravie, I think this movie was quite good. Other movies I have enjoyed and only a few: Running Scared(9/10) and Taken(8/10). Some Bollywood movies like Krissh(7/10), Don(7/10) and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi(9/10).

Well, it's nothing new that hollywood studios are buying the rights to successfull foreign movies to remake them with american actors. Movies sell better in the US if they have actors in it that are popular there and also the language of the original is an issue sometimes.

Ken Scott the director of the film "Starbuck" decided to reinvent the film for an American audience due to the fact that the original movie was made in Quebec, and was directed in French. So this is the American version of "Starbuck" by the original director, Ken Scott. I hope that clears things up for people. =)
