Congrats. I have a 50 Jahre in Interlagos blue and carbon ceramics. The iDrive 8 is awesome. You can talk to it and tell it to do things like change the interior temperature, turn the ac on or off, even change the interior lighting. You really hardly have to touch the screen.

I feel like the blue is an amazing color, have yet to see it in person but congrats to you as well! I do wish I had ceramics as well, good spec!

No need for ceramics, just get endless pads. Braking performance is only a few percent less on track and much better as daily, plus it saves you £10k Ceramics are so over hyped is untrue.

I def like the ceramics and wish I had them! I haven’t had time to test this setup yet but from what I’ve heard it’s a nice feature but just a lot of money for anyone who isn’t tracking. It’s a mix

@@kentao4 personally to spend getting the whole car PPF seems over priced and really doesnt have a purpose. the front end when driving is what is truly affected from the elements on the road. I would also maybe add PPF to the rockers under the doors for rocks being shot up. but I would personally only do a full ppf front end kit and then Ceramic coat the rest of the car

Why do you guys recommend PPF? This is my 3rd car and I never put PPF, did not notice any obvious ding by the elements and got a good resale for my two previous. Just curious.

I'll be honest I haven't done trips longer than an hour in it yet but from my experience they are fine once you are in. Getting in and out is the toughest part but besides that they are snug. Most of my passengers have had the same feedback.

What is 50 Jahre Edition and what is the difference with M3 competition?

So the 50 Jahre Edition is a 1/500 and they basically brought back 5 colors from previous generations to set these apart. Some other minor cosmetic upgrades which I’ve pointed in the video as well but mechanically it’s pretty much the same.

the carbon fiber trim bits on the interior is a bit cringe, afterall the car is not a feather weight. The rest of the car looks quite sick. congrats!

It is more for the estetics , you get also carbon on the steering wheel including pedal shifters

I like everything except the screen guage cluster. It dulls the whole performance appearance and feel that bmws are known for. It doesn't even curve. They just made the screen and slammed it behind the steering wheel. Probably the worst interior design decision bmw has made. Its too much of a drastic change from the guage cluster we all know. The guage cluster is a big part of the immersion of the driving experience and making it into a just flat touch screen is a really shallow design decision in my opinion.

I went over this in the video but the Jahre Edition you don’t decide what carbon package. It comes default with the lip, spoiler etc.

By front intakes do you mean the little slots next to the grill? If so then yup that’s all on that package which you don’t get the option to choose. I agree! Kind of ridiculous. It’s default with what’s on there no other option. I’ll see if I can find out why that’s the case

Here's the deal with the carbon packages: I have a 2023 G80 Competition xDrive and I opted for the carbon package, $4,700; side mirrors, front intakes, rear spoiler, and rear diffuser are included (No front splitter included, can only buy this extra, as an M performance part and its dealer installed I think). BMW does not let you get the full carbon package on the Jahre editions, they only come standard with the M performance splitter and carbon lip spoiler, plus the carbon interior package is included ($950 option on regular M3/M4). You have the option to buy other M performance carbon parts and have them installed at the dealer. It's very strange BMW doesn't have these Jahre editions fully decked out in every carbon option. Congrats on your car, its gorgeous.
