Here’s Why The BMW M3 Competition Is A WORLD CLASS Sports Sedan

In this video I talk about why I think the new BMW M3 Competition is a world class sedan. The BMW M3 and M4 are the staples within the BMW M lineup. And in their latest iterations, BMW has build two masterpieces. Looking at the M3 Competition, I was really excited to drive it because I was interested in how it would compare to the M4 Coupe.
The BMW M3 sedan has always tried to be a balances sports sedan and has generally been touted as the top of its class. Will this new G80 generation of the BMW M3 sedan live up to its name, we’re going to find out in this video.

@@DriveSteady nah Man U want the plastics believe me. They are cheaper and easy to replace It’s pretty much a sport car. Luxury is meant for the 5 and 7 series

In 2022, they do have “galvanic buttons” option, which changes the window buttons to metallic.

I own the Base M3 (MT) and altough I love the driving engagement I sometimes regret not have taken the comp, but just of daily usability reasons. As soon as I hit a cool road I'm happy with my choice.. :) anyway, I aggree with you regarding the Bucket Seats, I have them. Once your in they are comfortable, also on long drives. But the in- and egress is a pita ! but they look stunning ! So also here, if I would buy a new one it would be with the normal seats.

@@DriveSteady I personally love it! first and second can be jerky, but if you know old BMW's you may know that it's certainly not the best MT in the world. But it does it's purpose! The thing I most complain is the 100NM less torque, you definetely feel it. But let's be honest, it's still tons of power in this car... If you want an engaging, fun and also practical car go with the MT. If you want full performance and daily livablity I'd say go for the ZF. And beside that...a car manufactor offering such a car in 2021 still with MT...I had to buy it, just to say thank you ;) MT is a dying breed, enjoy while you can

Yup, I did my part when i got my Shelby GT350! Enjoy the M3, people may think I'm crazy but, I think this gen g80 and g82 will be one of the more popular M cars in the future.

@@DriveSteady Totally aggree, looks will grow on people (i loved it from the very get go, finally something different and bold) and it is undoubtably the best M3 ever made. What I do critizice is getting rid of the DCT, that was a delicious gearbox. Anyway, also you mate enjoy the Shelby, damn awesome car! And keep up the great content, you check all boxes which potential buyers want to know. awesome stuff from you !

Great video. I’m thinking about ordering one but with x drive. My main worry is quality few years down the line. I hear there are a lot of plastic parts on the engine that will deteriorate and cost a lot to repair. Does anyone have any opinion?

If reliability or residual value are your main concerns, I would suggest to have a look at Porsche, specifically Cayman GTS 4.0. I'm waiting on my Cayman, but if that doesn't come before Porsche seize production of current gen, then my next choice is the M3 xdrive LCI (which should happen in a year or so).

Oh, I have to say I'm in Canada. Where a properly spec'ed M3 is priced the same as a properly spec'ed Cayman GTS 4.0. A fully spec'ed M3 is 11 grand more than the Cayman. YMMV.

I have a 22 M4 xDrive Comp, and I definitely agree with the seats. I specd my car with everything except the carbon seats. Perfect daily driver. I thought the carbon ceramics would slow down the order, but it didn’t. I’m hearing, right now, if you order a car, the carbon seats and carbon exterior package, have no current date of then they are going to be available for a build. So, apparently, if you order, they aren’t available to even order, even if you want to wait. Also, if you park the M3 and the M4 next to each other, the M4 width is there, it’s just shaped differently. The shoulders next to the trunk lid are wider, like a 911 versus coming straight down, and then fattening up above the fender. But from the back, the M4 almost looks wider.

@@8weapons "Looks" wider. Park them next to each other and stand back at the rear. The M4 is wide, just in different places. It just doesn't have the fender flares, the wideness starts higher up. But its definitely wide.

Yeah the m4 looks wider from the rear. i have an xdrive g80. i like the M4 but i chose the M3 for practically so me and friends could all enjoy the ride 🤷🏽‍♂️.

Ive havent driven the gts yet but i would say it depends...if you need a 4 door, yes. If no, then no. But the M3 Comp is an absolutely amazing car on its own.
