@@stvpls EXACTLY. They're more durable than a modern pc. My mom had an old eMachines running Windows Vista. The damn thing ran good, too. It had an AMD processor and an Nvidia gpu graphics card. But over time the Ethernet stopped working, so my mom hated it after that. So, -I destroyed it- it destroyed me because I couldn't get my pickaxe to go through the damn thing.

I think the card in the slot was a modem card, because if it was a sound card, the speaker would be plugged in there. Also it's possible that it crashes but didn't show a blue screen but a blue screen doesn't loop audio of that kind of length.

In the UK we have an endless supply of these old Dell desktops left over from the revolution in computing that came about in the early 2000s. Long story short, we are still using this crap in both public and private services nationwide. Navigating the internet on one of these is like driving with the handbrake still applied.
